What do you guys think? for the forwards? This is my personal choice
Zednik - Koivu - Hossa Gilmour - Perrault - Chow Bulis - Juneau - Sundstrum Kilger - Ribiero/Lindsay - McKay
Petrov as the main spair for wingers. Blouin can lick a cold pole outside club super sex.

I would be willing to bet the farm that Sundstrom will play with Koivu and Zednik.
There are alot of Montreal fans that are down on this trade right now (i'm not one of them...), so AS will want to make sure that his new player is playing with talent. I also think that Sundstrom could really compliment those 2 players.
So my guess for this weekend...
Richard Zednik-Saku Koivu-Niklas Sundstrom Jan Bulis-Yanic Perreault-Oleg Petrov Marcel Hossa-Doug Gilmour-Mariusz Czerkawski Randy McKay-Joe Juneau-Andreas Dackell
When Kilger is ready to go, i would take Dackell out of the lineup.

Here is my guess:
Sundstrom can play left wing so:
Czerkawski-Koivu-Zednik Bulis-Perreault-Petrov Sundstrom-Juneau-Dackell Hossa-Gilmour-Mckay

i think my lines would go:
hossa-koivu-zed
gilmour-perreault-chow
bulis-juneau-sundstrom
petrov-kilg-mckay
i'd like to give hossa one more chance on the 1st line. marius czerkawski is an offensive rw, it seems about time montreal let him be one. and i think bulis, jj and sundstrom would be a deadly checking line that could score the odd goal. if hossa doesn't work out on 1st he could switch with gilmour, or gilmour could center the 4th and kilgy could have another stint on the 1st; either way hossa wouldn't look too bad on the 2nd line, he seems to have some center-like qualities(he did play center at some point in his junior career) which would be an asset on that line, as perreault is essentially a winger who takes face-offs(imo, which seems to parralel a number of other people's on this board). the only line i am unsure of is the 4th, it could be any combination of our remaining forwards.

Except I agree with having Sundstrom on the left and Czerkawski on the right. Neither Kilger or Ribeiro have shown us anything special, but I like Chad beter as a centre. Wow, Markov sure gets the workout in your pairings Markov-Rivet Hainsey-Quintal Komisarek-Brisebois

I see 2 things that I would question with your lineup: 1. Sundstrom is defensive...will be on the 3rd line in place of Dackall IMO 2. Sundstom is Sweedish...Koivu is a Finn .... does anyone else see my point? This may not be a big deal some may say...but then again, it may!

Well the way I see it is fairly different. Sunstrum is a pretty good playmaker, he is not a gifted finisher but a good playmaker at the very least. He as an OK size with good speed. and can play any forward position. He has experience and can probably be very helpfull for our team in the playoff. We should not be fooled by his 12pts total of this year has I think if he had a normal season he would probably be more arround 24 then 12. If we feel Bulis is helpfull to the team then Sundstrum will also be helpfull.
About the trade, just a note, saying that threre is nothing that would have prevent Hackett from signing with Boston this summer which makes this deal look not slightly better. The only dissapointment is that Boston get Jillson a guy that is IMO far more talented then McLaren.
On the lines now. CJ likes to have well balanced lines with everylines playing a 2 way game. For this reason I really do not see them putting Sundstrom on a fourth line. With Audette moving to the AHL and Kilger coming back from injurry I would expect the following lines....
Kilger, Koivu, Zednik Bulis, Perreault, Sundstrum Hossa, Gilmour, (Mckay/Petrov) depending on the game Ribeiro, Juneau, Czerkawski
4 lines that can score but more importantly can prevent the other team from scoring. I am no longer sure that Dackell will see a whole lot of ice time with the arrival of sundstrom but that is just MHO.

I think Dackell goes as well...
I was reading all my hockey preview books...and the words ''one of best defensive players in the NHL'' ...''one of the best 2 way players in the league''..''Sundstrom is so talented(hockey news....1996-97 preview edition)'' popped up.......
