Seems to me that the Habs will have an extra player around.
Will they send down one of Hossa or Hainsey who can't be claimed by any other team?
Will they waive another player like Blouin or Dykhuis?
Will they trade someone like Dykhuis for a mid to late round pick?

Garon just takes Hackett's well-polished place on the bench. Sundstrom takes Audette's spot. I don't think anyone needs to be sent down.
Damn, forgot about Kilger coming of IR. Hmmm, sure does look like Dackell may be odd man out.

I think you are right.
As long as Kilger is on the IR, no moves need to be made.
That buys us about a week...

hmm i'd love to see another deal pulled off. a dackell and or blouin for future considerations... then we call up ward to be a spair. and where do u think sundstrom's gonna play? 3rd line with JJ if dacks is moved, if not he might crack the top line (cj might give it a try, doubt it would work though)... i don't see him being a 4th liner here.

It's gonna be Audette for sure IMO....... I don't think so. Audette was placed on waivers this afternoon. 48hrs from today is Saturday. Sounds like it will be someone else. Golly whillikers, nothing happens for the longest time, and now there's bodies flying all over the map! Gosh!

Marc is right. Garon will get called up tomorrow and Audette will be sent down to the minors if he is not claimed by any other team. But assuming the rest of the team stays healthy, when Kilger is ready to go the Habs will have an interesting choice to make.

Garon will get called up tomorrow and Audette will be sent down to the minors if he is not claimed by any other team. But assuming the rest of the team stays healthy, when Kilger is ready to go the Habs will have an interesting choice to make. Audette must remain on waivers for 48hrs. He was placed on waivers this afternoon. That means, if he isn't claimed in the meantime, the Canadiens cannot send him down until Saturday afternoon. Marc said Savard said that someone was being sent down tomorrow. That could not be Audette. From the NHL CBA: letsgopens.com/nhl_cba.php?id=1313.15. A Member Club desiring to obtain waivers on a player subject to the provisions of this Article shall notify the NHL of such request by facsimile transmission ("FAX"). The resulting procedure will be conducted by the Central Registry which shall notify all parties affected by the request and report the result to the parties entitled thereto. 13.16. The request for waivers by the Central Registry shall specify time within which a waiver claim must be made in accordance with the following schedule: (a) for requests dispatched from September 15th to June 1st: DISPATCHED WAIVER PERIOD EXPIRY DATE Monday 48 hours Wednesday (Noon) Tuesday 48 hours Thursday (Noon) Wednesday 48 hours Friday (Noon) Thursday 48 hours Saturday (Noon) Friday 96 hours Tuesday (Noon) Saturday 72 hours Tuesday Noon) Sunday 72 hours Wednesday (Noon) (b) for requests dispatched at all other times of the year, a minimum of one hundred and twenty (120) hours from the time of dispatch of the request. (c) If no Club has claimed the player within the time specified in the request for waivers the requesting Club may loan such player to a club of another league.

Good thinking Paul, but here is the first line in the RDS article about Audette. Apparently his agent is going to meet habs mgmt. tomorrow, the saga continues. RDS a appris que le Canadien a soumis au ballottage l'attaquant Donald Audette jeudi midi.

However, RDS reported that he was put on waivers this afternoon. Let's see what happens. Audette goes down (unless claimed). But someone else may be demoted as well.
