Jeeez poor Audette..we are now saying that Hamilton could use him because they are running out of talent...And the guy was brought here to help us because we were missing talented scorers upfront.. And really..it's not Hamilton that needs him..He needs Hamilton BADLY!!

Yea, I'd like to see him put on waivers too, been saying so for a long time. Like someone said, better he goes there where maybe he could regain his confidence away from the pressure. I'm still pretty skeptical whether he'll ever regain his touch in the NHL at NHL speeds. He's said himself the arms only 90% and it's affecting him so I would really be surprised if another team, knowing that, claimed him off waivers at his salary.
If somebody did, good for him and good for the Habs.

Money and lack of performance aside, can the club afford to carry his attitude, now that he's come out, so to speak?

I think what happened is Aud spoke his mind and said he's not going to Hamilton, he's above all that. Then his agent told him if you don't go you don't get that obscenely high pay check you're getting for your pathetic production. Well even Donald can do the math on that one. Now he's prepared to go to Ham.
There is no doubt in my mind he would clear waivers. No team could take that salary on a guy who is damamged goods at the end of his career. Besides if any gm has been watching ( or reading this board as most do) they would know that AS is desparate to unload Aud and they could work out out a trade where they give minimal in return and have AS pick up some of Aud's salary.
It's an ugly situation given the injury and high salary but Aud has made it worse by his attitude.

Hamilton is not THAT bad of a place when you are making 3 million per year The Dogs could certainly use him..by my count...Pisani, Rita, Hossa have all been called up and Gratton is injured...4/6 of their top 6 is gone basically. In recent weeks, the league-leading Bulldogs have seen Jani Rita, Mariusz Czerkawski, Alexei Semenov, Marcel Hossa, Ron Hainsey, Ales Pisa, and Fernando Pisani called to of their parents NHL teams. Even coach Claude Julien left when the Canadiens appointed him their head coach in a surprise move.

Totally agree. If Chow making 400 K less with 1 year less on his deal while being younger can go through them....Audette will clear them no doubt about it IMO Only way you dump him, IMO, is if you take an equal if not worse deal in return...like Savage's...
