According to RDS:
-----------
The line will be McKay-Gilmour-Audette....all the other lines stay intact...I guess Kilger will be placed on IR since he isn't going with the teamin Florida.

If Kilger isn't placed on IR won't someone have to be sent down? Perhaps, maybe, hopefully, Traverse?

But imo Kilger was placed on IR because if he doesn't make the trip...the next game he can play in is Washington on Saturday. 7 days on IR, I believe is the minimum one can spend on it...

It doesn't necessarily mention that Kilger was placed on IR, nor would that necessarily mean someone needs to be sent down. Gilmour being taken off IR might mean that someone has to clear a roster spot, unless Kilger is put on IR in his place.
One Kilger returns, though, then someone would need to go down to make room. That's when we'll get a real idea of what Julien thinks of his new players, in his selection for demotion. You can officially count me among the Traverse detractors now, I've seen enough.

If I understand correctly this means :
Hossa-Koivu-Zednik McKay-Gilmour-Audette Bulis-Perreault-Petrov Czerkawski-Juneau-Dackell
Well I think a lot of us had guessed he would put Gilmour back at center. It looks good. We no longer have that innefective 4th line centered by Ribeiro.
Now he'll just have to use them in the right situations. In my mind it means a lot more flexibility and his lines are more versatile. Now he just needs to find the right amount of time to give each line depending on the other teams strenghts and weaknesses. I like it.

I'm actually more in favour of Audette getting dumped.... Traverse might suck, but we need 7 D on the roster, defensemen get hurt, and you can't always just call one up with little advance notice.

I don't like Audette either. But give him another chance on CJ's reign. He might turn it around and start being usefull again(crossing fingers). Audette could be useful if used properly. Anyway we just can't let him go down to rot in Hamilton he has 2 more years to his contract. Give him this one last chance to turn his play around ... Even though I understand your feelings. I hate the way he is playing and I have hard time thinking about a way he could be useful

We could be the Flying french men again We never were the Big Bad Guys or the Broadstreet Mashers. Habs have always been about offense. I like those lines. If Audette and Chow could turn it around we would have a decent offensive team. That's what we need an identity. Plus .. offense is exciting to watch. Better to lose while shoting a lot then bow down playing our third line against other teams top line ...

The only change I would love to make:
Get Brian Rolston for Hackett and stick him at LW(he is better there) ;D
Hossa-Koivu-Zednik Bulis-Perreault-Petrov Rolston-Gilmour-Audette Chow-Juneau-Dackell
McKay fits in somewhere
Every line is much faster and can score. You also have good 2 way players on each line.

Be interesting to see how the ice time breaks down for the lines. A first unit of Hossa-Koivu-Zednik with Markov-Brisebois sure looks to have very good offensive potential. Markov is sound enough defensively and a good enough skater that he should be able to somewhat minimize the effects of Brisebois' elegant play. Hainsey-Quintal seems like a bit of an odd couple pairing. They worked fairly well at the beginning of the season. Until Hainsey made a boo-boo and was exiled. They looked good together last night. Hainsey gave a nice preview of the monster he could become. All Q needs to do is stay back and clear the slot (though I did notice #5 pinching on a few occasions last night). Rivet is the nuts and bolts guy on the blueline. He gets to partner the "projects", be they raw rookies or someone like Patrick Traverse. Lucky thing that Craig will carry this cross like the true soldier he is.
