After tonight's first goal, Patrick is an awe-inspiring -7 in the last 12+ periods. Thank goodness Hainsey is sitting again. I hope he's watching how a real d-man plays.

What a clown this guy is
His laziness(and that is probably being too polite) cost us the game last night. What the f*** was he doing on the 3rd goal?
BRING BACK HAINSEY!! at least he will improve

The guy is brutal. It's bad enough when you can single a guy out for a particular play which hurt but with this guy there are many plays each game which leave me spell bound to think he's in the Nhl and sick to think he's on my fabled habs. Here's tonights list of unbelievable plays by Traverse:
1) on the third and winning goal he not only is unable to control the puck when it comes in front he deflects it softly into the slot and then hesistantly goes after it only to make a guy like Stu barnes look like Mario as Traverse bites at the minor league fake;
2) the intercepted pass to Brisebois with 2 mins to go was pee wee hockey stuff. Not only was it DUMB, it aborted some good pressure and gave Buff a scoring chance which caused a penalty thus ending the game;
3) how many times did he hold onto the puck too long in our zone get in trouble and then do it all over again.
To sum up: one guy who has been criticized all season is responsible for giving up the winning goal and for coughing up the puck at the end so he's forced to take a penalty ending any hope of a come back. And I underline that this for traverse is not a bad night it is a normal night for the guy. To think MT thinks that Hainsey is not as capable just blows my mind. If this guy dresses the next game then MT and perhaps AS have it coming to them as our playoff chances are going down the drain as will their jobs.

Ever since x-mas he has been brutal. Yet he keeps on playing 22 minutes per game and Brisebois forced to carry him along........ god we miss Souray.

When is Souray coming back? Could be today, could be 10 years from now No one knows. His wrist is a mess. And wrist injuries are just so tough to heal and fix up(Pronger and Samsonov are 2 more examples).

When Traverse is playing his very very best he can be a fifth/sixth defenceman on a weak NHL team. When he plays his normal game he is at best a minor-league defenceman. The joke is that Hainsey should be in that spot because at least he has a future. What is going through Therrien's mind is beyond me - Traverse's future is either the AHL or Europe, not with the Habs or any other NHL team. Still, you can't fault him for his loyalty to his favourite players....

When is Souray coming back? I heard on CJAD that he'll start skating with the team after the All-Star game (February 2nd). ;D

I heard on CJAD that he'll start skating with the team after the All-Star game (February 2nd). ;D yeah but that doesn't mean his wrist is healed up or anything..... Can he shoot a puck? can he pass? can he play NHL defence with his wonky wrist? it would be great to have him back tho...

Rivet has been playing with a "wonky" wrist all season...granted, he hasn't been the best D ...but he plays nontheless. I feel that Souray is better defensively than Rivet so if his wrist is at least as good as Rivet's , I say play him. Can't be worse than what we have right now.

I don't think it's the same injury they have.
Souray is having trouble getting blood into the wrist area. I don't remember what Rivet has an injury but I seriously doubt it's that.

Not only was it DUMB, it aborted some good pressure and gave Buff a scoring chance which caused a penalty thus ending the game; I'll agree that Traverse been horrible, but the blame on that play is shared with the left winger who failed to slow up his man.
