What do you think? If you like this name, you can vote for it at "any Hamilton Tim Horton's." The other choices include Hamilton Canadiens or keeping the current name, Hamilton Bulldogs. Here's the link for official info on this: www.hamiltonbulldogs.com/web_pages/hbd_pressbox_press_info.php?article=press_release_2002/pr09012003.php--------------------- Oh, and I guess I should introduce myself eh? I'm your typical Hab fan: always behind them, win or tie. I have not been a fan of Therrien since over a year ago, I think Brisebois bashers are fools (he's ONLY the second best d-man on the team...give him a break), Czerkawski hasn't been given a real chance yet, Berezin was never given a real chance either (he and Czer. were misused), Souray is overrated, Audette is useless (but we shouldn't be angry with him but with the coach for wasting ice time on him), AS is still the organization's saviour (be patient--just think of what's brewin' in Hamilton), etc. Cheers! ;D spozzy

Judging by your opinions, I think we'll get along just fine - other than that last point about some saviour..... would a saviour have made this many mistakes by now ? It's like Christ getting more than his feet wet, but getting seriously soaked when he tried to walk on water. (note: I'm not saying it's equivalent to drowing, AS is still OK.... just no saviour )

I hope they send Brisebois down to help out your Bulldogs. If they do you can name the team anything you want, "Hamilton Breezeby's would work". Audette gave his right arm for the team and in the process ruined the rest of his career. Not his fault, but stick a fork in him because he's done. Czerkawski had his chance but his work in Hamilton has earned him another one. Souray isn't overated by me because I don't think that much about him. How would you like Therrien coaching your team. Then an exhibition game between the Hamilton Bulldogs and Montreal Rockets would be a sellout. Vote "Hamilton Canadiens" or "Hamilton Canadians" for me and enjoy a sugar tart or Canadian Maple for me. I sure miss them.

yeah the name doesn't really bother me, it's just the oiler colours that get me, they've got to go (although hamilton habs would be kind of cool, with the CH logo, but reversing the jerseys, white jersey with stripe down middle a-la the 40's and road jersey with coloured shoulders maybe? just so the jerseys arent exactly the same). welcome aboard spozzy, looks like you'll fit in here, other than your berezin loving, which is absolutely insane, czerkawski i'll give you (as i almost the same way), but berezin was a joke when he was here, giving him any more of a "chance" and we wouldn't have made the playoffs at all last aseason.

In some ways, AS has already proven to have saved the organization: we aren't a team of AHLers anymore, we have huge depth (depth in average players that, when needed, can take over other (mostly) average players), and the future looks alright. AS has his numerous flaws (the biggest being, I believe, is his relunctance to rid of the most problematic remnant of the Houle era: the hiring of Therrien), but my feelings about the Habs future now are infinitely better than they were when Houle was in command.

In other words, AS is a competent NHL GM, that much I'll give you. Compared to Houle though, that's not saying all that much. From a "saviour", I'd expect not to see 11 million dollar mistakes like that Audette guy :-) Or 5.4 million dollar mistakes like Chow Or .... Or.... But I can live with him as a GM.... Houle, well, I think even he knew himself that he sucked at the end of it all.
