I feel sick. Michel Blanchard strikes again. Habs are sinking and according to him it's all because of Brisebois... and Rivet, and Savard for overestimating them. What you guys should know is that Blanchard is a personal friend of Therrien. He will write ANYTHING just to protect him. When Brunet wrote that paper about the fact that many veterans were not respecting Therrien, Blanchard wrote a paper slamming his collegue. I'm afraid it is forbidden at La Presse to write a single negative sentence about MT. But this paper (below) could turn Brisebois' season into hell. Cheap shot as usual. www.cyberpresse.ca/reseau/chroniqueurs/mblanchard/mbla_103010178652.html

All you need to know about Blanchard: the guy thinks Bouillon is better than pretty much the whole Habs defence As you know, I like BIG strong young fast players. Bouillon is none of those but, he works hard and doesn't back down and gives 100% of his capability. I'd rather see Bouillon and Hainsey and Komisarek than Brisebois. Hell, at 56 I make far fewer mistakes and play more consistantly within myself than Brisebois. I'm too slow to get caught out of position like Brisebois does. Pick me. I expect more from Brisebois than he's shown.

LA, Bouillon is a good 6th-7th but this reporter believes Bouillon could be a 3rd-4th d-man on the Habs
Freakzilla, Brisebois and Rivet were heading for UFA...McLaren is only a RFA

Blanchard obviously has an agenda against Breezer... Sure he had a bad stint lately but he's been good earlier on. From the look of it, Blanchard was just waiting for Brisebois to show signs of weakness to fall on him like a ton of bricks.
Remember how Blanchard said he would not give "the rat" any slack...

If brisebois gets 4 million for what he does and Rivet 3 million...how can Boston not resign McLaren at 2 millions..I know he said he didn't want to play for them anymore but that must have been because they couldn't get him signed at his price ... It's probably the same type of situation that we had with Zednik this summer..fighting over 100000 bucks..Incredible

HE said he won't re-sign with them. He said he wanted a fresh start.

It's been mostly because of Brisebois lately. It was entirely because of Fraser the other night. It's been largely because of Théodore this season. It's always because of Therrien.

Amen, Mr. B. Enquiring minds can't help but believe that the first 3 problems would disappear if only the 4th one did.

He would have to deliver mail for 100 years for the US post office to get what he is paid in Montreal for one year. Hardly seems fair. Of course in LA he would get US dollars and pay less in taxes, but 100 years?

Is there something wrong with breezy's health? I've never seen a guy fall down as much as he does. Everytime he tries to turn he falls down. Does he have an inner ear problem or vertigo? Maybe he needs a full physical. Could it be that playing 25 to 30 minutes a game is starting to catch up with him? I usually don't have a problem with breezer when he makes some mistakes simply because of the ice time he logs, but the past 2 to 3 months he has been much worse than usual. I think the Habs medical staff need to run a full battery of tests on him and find out what's up! If something is wrong he might not be say9ing anything because Markov is breathing down his neck for the best D-man on the team.

On another board someone mentioned that Brisebois is breaking in a new pair of skates. Honest. If so, it would seem that softening the leather has further softened his game. He may be confused and scared by the fact that a kid 10 years his junior, who doesn't wear an "A" and isn't the second highest paid player on the team, is already a better d-man than he's ever been. Whatever the cause, his game is certainly, er, slipping.
