Wow!
Impressing. Somebody somewhere is starting to get it... Yessire.
Message is pretty clear for Ward though, that whatever he'll do, he's not in the plan.

Maybe not. With the possible injury to Bulis, they probably just want a LW.

YES!!
Put him on the top line with Koivu and Zed ;D
ok maybe that is a little too crazy...but don't put him on the 4th line slugs!
I wonder if they called him up because of the Bulis injury or just to bring a spark(we had a spot open...)

If Bulis can go and Gilmour is still out with back spasms...we should go with:
Bulis-Koivu-Zed Hossa-Perreault-McKay Kilger-Juneau-Dackell the 4th line suspects
WOW...some over 6 feet tall top 9 forwards...lol

I really want to see how Hossa is going to be used. A fourth line spare of on the 2nd line?
Secondly, I like to see if he will step up his game. One of my complaints about him was he did not get his nose dirty. Watch his low game. Will he pay the price for puck posession? Will he stick check his man?
He has got the size and brains plus he can skate and a pretty good shot. Now is his chance to step up.

Last year he looked good on the 3rd line, I'd put him back there. I'd put Ribs on the left wing of Perreault, they did click last year at some point.

Could Ribs-Perreault-Hossa work or is that too ''soft'' and ''Euro'' for a line?
Should be very interesting to see how they use him tomorrow. If he gets there...a snow storm has kept him in Hamilton tonight...

I wonder how Hossa will do against Semenov and Allen?
They played together in Hamilton.

Wow! Impressing. Somebody somewhere is starting to get it... Yessire. Message is pretty clear for Ward though, that whatever he'll do, he's not in the plan. How about poor Mariusz Czerkawski? The AHL is obviously a joke to him - what's he got? 8 points in 4 games? Plus 6 or 7 already? (don't know, didn't look it up) Anyways, not sure I like the idea of a Hossa-Perrault-Audette line. Its going to be atrocious defensively (especially against a speedy Oilers team) and Perrault and Audette aren't complimentary to Hossa, and don't support him well. Not a great place to break him in, in my opinion. Assuming both Gilmour and Bulis are out, why not stick Kilger back on the top line, and slide Hossa into the 3rd line spot, with Juneau and Dackell? He played there last year, during his brief call up, and that duo has proven to be pretty good with the young-ins in the past... Why not? Kilger - Koivu - Zednik Audette - Perrault - McKay (slowest line EVER!) Hossa - Juneau - Dackell whatever... Second line is still a problem, but it always has been... If Bulis is good to go, then you keep him with Koivu and Zednik, move Kilger to the second line, and keep Hossa with the PK twins... Just not sure Hossa with Perrault and Audette is a combination that works for any concerned. I could see that line being broken up after, oh, about 3 shifts...

If I'm not mistaken, Mariusz now has 7 points in 3 games.
1st game - 2 points 2nd game - 4 points 3rd game - 1 point
He was a plus five against Binghamton yesterday:http://www.usatoday.com/sports/scores103/103002/20030102AHL--HAMILTON--0nr.htm
and he was even today.
Anyways, Go Hossa!

NOTES: Hossa, who has 19 goals and 13 assists in 37 games with the Bulldogs this season, is expected to fly to Edmonton today where he could face Bulldogs' teammates Bobby Allen and Alexei Semenov, who are both up with the Oilers.
A player who wasn't even supposed to be there scored the winning goal in the final minute last night to give the Hamilton Bulldogs their 11th consecutive road victory.
Marcel Hossa scored his 19th of the season on a power play at 19:12 of the third period to lift the Bulldogs to a 3-2 American Hockey League win over the Albany River Rats in Albany.
Hossa was called up to the Montreal Canadiens yesterday but a snowstorm in Albany prevented him from flying out of Albany to join the Canadiens in Edmonton, so he caught a cab back to the arena.
Hossa wouldn't have made it to the arena in time to get his name on the game sheet to make him eligible to play except that ice problems at the Pepsi Arena and the fact that referee Bob Langdon was late arriving because of the storm, delayed the start of the game by half an hour.
The victory leaves the Bulldogs just two wins away from tying the league record for consecutive road wins, set by Albany in the 1995-96 season.
The win also stretched the Bulldogs' unbeaten streak to 15 games.
It was a bizarre game for the Bulldogs who had to bus through a snowstorm and didn't arrive in Albany until 5 a.m.
The start of the game was delayed by a half an hour because of ice problems at the Pepsi Arena and the fact that the referee was late getting there because of the snowstorm.

Isn't it funny that the whole eastern part of North America has been getting snowstorms and we here in Montreal are getting about no snow at all ;D
