I think AV would have done a really good job with the team the habs have now. He did pretty good with the crap he had to deal with when he was coach.

I'm surprised to see Vigneault going back to coaching in Junior. I'm wondering why he couldn't find a job as an assistant coach in the NHL. He's not that bad a coach. I hope he gets another chance to coach in the bigs.

However, there is one thing I hated with Vigneault...his interviews. He always, always, ALWAYS had the same excuses, day in and day out, for losing games. You could tell that everything was scripted when he appeared in front of the cameras. It was annoying. Granted, the team sucked back then, but they didn't change their game plans even thought the said they sucked every night for the same reasons. What's with that. Anyway, I liked him better than MT by a longshot. I wish him well. cheers,

At least the guy knew how to dress. Therrien usually looks like he's dressed to go collect some money at a bowling alley in Lachine after the game. I can't stand seeing him behind the bench in those powder blue shirts and ties from hells finger painting class. Strictly for low-rent mob types, sleaze-bags and heavy equipment operators who have to borrow a suit to go to a funeral. AV might've been a bit GQ for the average hockey fan, but this is the NHL after all.

Yeah his interviews were BORING. Always said the same thing at the post game news conference....
But it's not like MT says unbelievable stuff in his post game conferences...

Now now JV, I was born and raised in Lachine and I can tell you ... there are some pretty scary sights at Verdun bowling alleys.. AV would be a fine assistant for the Habs, system and wardrobe wise.

At least Vigneault goes out and gets another job, unlike Ted Nolan, who thinks a trophy voted on by the media guarantees him a job.

Hey Johnny Verdun and Jerry Dog, funny you mention a Lachine Bowling alley because I live in Lachine on 45th near the old Bowling alley. Small world. I worked in Verdun on Wellington and I know how it's like around there. There was a murder every month when I worked around there.

Well, guys, I still contend there was no reasoning to firing Vigneault in the first place other than le club's attempt to convince fans that "they (management) were on the problem." The fact remains that the players were going to coast for anyone regardless who was behind the bench.
In fact, we all saw Vigneault progress and grow as a coach as far as I'm concerned. He went from someone who looked more concerned how the camera caught him, to an emotional, in-the-game type of coach. He also went from not listening to his veterans to publicly supporting all of his players to the media.
One other thing; it seemed Vigneualt's turnaround came when Dave King left the club. I don't know how much that has to do with it, but it's only an observation.
Honestly, Vigneault would still have a place here as far as I'm concerned. His firing was very poor timing and both the players and management can take share of the blame for he being dismissed.
Cheers.

I worked in Verdun on Wellington and I know how it's like around there. There was a murder every month when I worked around there. Crazy! My family used to shop there all the time and I lived on 43rd between Victoria and Provost. We all learned to skate and play hockey at Parc Carignan. Mind you, I heard that a guy I went to Lachine High with got shot outside a tavern on the Lachine lakeshore about 10 years ago. You never know!

You get Jocko to cut your hair? Yes Jocko or Giacomo has cut my hair, and my kids hair. He's a very nice guy. So you also know 45th in Lachine Bad Company. Hey Jerry Dog, I have played hockey at Carignan park a few times myself. I didn't grow up in Lachine but met my wife and settled here. She went to Lachine High. My kids play hockey at Carignan park all the time and play at Lachine Arena where a famous Hab once played, Yvan Cournoyer.
