so many games in arrow? what is that now? 18 games in arrow?
Ridiculous. Even expansion teams don't get outshot this baddly. The Habs system(if you can actually call it that) is a joke. MT and the staff should be ashamed. They are happy with mediocrety and that is sickening
I am sure MT will make some sort of comment after tonight's game ''oh...we kept the game close, we played well defensively but just couldn't score''
and oh yeah why can't the Habs ever have a period were they just dominate an opposition? you know keep that team pinned in their zone and outshoot them by about 15 shots in that period? not a game here...A PERIOD...
God what a depressing road trip...let's hope MT is fired after it and we can end this insanity...

Might as well add Green (for Viper). ;D It was actually kind of funny reading MT lips after the bench minor...never saw so many sware words in a row. To bad he was talking to himself. Moron!

Joey Juneau told the media this week that his lack of production on offense doesn't bother him at all since his job with the Habs is mainly of a defensive nature.
Somebody should remind Joey there is a tradition of great defensive players with the Habs like Jim Roberts, Bob Gainey, Doug Jarvis and Guy Carbonneau but they all could score between 10 and 15 goals per season, and between 15 and 30 if we're talking about Gainey or Carbonneau.
No wonder the Habs have a hard time getting 20 shots on goal in most games with players who have Juneau's mentality.
The game of hockey is not about playing well without the puck, it's about scoring more goals than your opponents. If MT cannot get this in his thick head, I hope he gets his pink slip before the Habs find themseves with the cellar dwellers and virtually out of the playoffs.

That quote by Juneau is depressing and shows exactly what is wrong
Juneau has 1 goal in 30 games and the team has trouble scoring 3 goals per game... he gets about 20 of ice time each game...that a 1/3 of the game where NO offence is being generated or created...add the 4th line and sometimes the 2nd line time and you see the problem.
I am starting to wonder if the checking line really is essential to this team's success...because even with it, the other team's top gun's always seem to do well against us.

Moosehead makes a great point here. Back then, even our defensive line was rockin'. They don't make 'em like they used to. Although, in Boston, Juneau was quite an offensive threat. Again, the MT system is stiffling players. How does Viper say it again....ummm...oh , yeah. [glow=red,2,300]FIRE THERRIEN AND GREEN!!![/glow]

Not having read Joey's exact words I can't really comment all that well on his meaning but in his defence, the Habs are tied for what?, 11th or 12th over all in goals scored this year while they rank 28th or so in goals against. If the man was trying to say that he's concentrating on his defense because that's where the team's greatest weakness seems to be and he's one of the few forwards who seems to be somewhat proficient in that area, I got to agree with him.

Marc; I've been crying for months about how we may be .500 as a team but it's only great goaltending that keeps us there. We're outshot almost every night. It's a problem, a deep rooted problem that won't go away with the addition of a power forward or a big defenseman. We have some problems with puck control, clearing our end, clearing the slot, clearing rebounds, and blocking shots. We need a system and to devise and implement a system, we need a coach. Larry, are you reading this? Savard, are you blind? George, do you want playoff money? Is anybody listening or reading??
