game 1 of the 7 game odisssey was...hackum...pretty close to a disaster but the boys had been playing great as of late so we'll get off of their backs for that one. Now, let's hope the boys didn't eat too much turkey, didn't drink too much eggnog and didn't celebrate too hard. They will need to be in tip top shape for this road trip..... Friday, December 27th, @ Ottawa Saturday, December 28th, @ Pittsburgh Tuesday, December 31th, @ Calgary Thursday, January 2nd, @ Vancouver Saturday, January 4th, @ Edmonton Tuesday, January 7th, @ New Jersey Ouch. 3 very good/elite teams(Ottawa, Vancouver, New Jersey), a pretty good team(Oilers), a team that has been struggling as of late but has tons of firepower(Penguins) and a horrible team on home ice but they do have talent(Calgary). And 4 of these games will be on National TV(CBC and TSN) so let's hope the Habs don't get blown out a couple of times or we will be the laughing stocks of the nation. 12 points up for grabs. IMO, we need at least six if not more. BTW, HabsAddict, how are we doing in the Scary 16?

Whether you believe in it or not, it is Christmas, not X-mas. The holiday is not celebrating Mr. X. My 2 cents. Now back to hockey.
Friday, December 27th, @ Ottawa W Saturday, December 28th, @ Pittsburgh W Tuesday, December 31th, @ Calgary W Thursday, January 2nd, @ Vancouver T / OTL Saturday, January 4th, @ Edmonton T / OTW Tuesday, January 7th, @ New Jersey L
Deep down inside, however, the thought of the struggling Flames beating us 8-0, ending up in MT finally getting canned as part of a country wide New Year's celebration and Larry making his debut in Vancouver with me in the seats is a thought!!
All the best.

Well i hope everyone had a nice christmas and that the habs players did not stuff to much turkey down their throats. We are about to approach to the mid point in the season and i put together a little table of what i would consider the most important stats in the game of hockey. A table i call the NHL'S top ten teams in these categories : Goals for, goals against, power play, penalty killing and face offs. Our habs are in 2 of those categories , goals for and face offs, a lot work will have to be done in the goals against, power play and penalty killing., so MT has a lot of work ahead of him. here is the link to the table : www.geocities.com/mauricerichard_99/topten24decembre.htm

Our offence has surprised me. We are at almost 3 goals per game

Hate to put too much of a damper on this. But, the third period against the Isles was the beginning of a tailspin. Not to sure how long it will take them to come out of it. Enough to can the coach, that would be the best for all involved. Nevertheless I think things could get real ugly, real quick.

Whether you believe in it or not, it is Christmas, not X-mas. The holiday is not celebrating Mr. X. Well, in fact, the "X" in "X-mas" does stand for the Greek word for "Christ" which is "Xristos"...THAT is it's origin. Hope you had a good one! CO

The shame and pain will continue. How long can AS last?
