Somebody posted on another board that they mentioned on RDS that 3 teams had inquired about Audette within the last 24 hours:
Chicago Nashville Florida
Could something along the lines of an Audette for Mironov swapped really be worked out? Mironov walked away from the Hawks a few weeks ago and the Hawks have had a tough time finding a home for him. Word is the only want to trade him to an Eastern Conference team.
I would gladly hand over Audette and Dykhuis for Mironov, but i doubt the Hawks would be interested.

Addition by substraction. Even if they have to eat a million for each of the next two years, it'd do the club a world of good. Think of it, the team gets bigger and tougher as soon as Audette gets on the plane.
Don't know much about Mironov, and of course it'd be nice to get someone younger with some upside, but beggars can't be choosers. Just to have a guy who we're not tied to for the next two years would be another bonus.

Dude, do you have a link?
Montreal said it was over at HF but I did not find anything on it
I can't believe low budgets team like Florida and Nashville would want Audette unless we take on some salary or pay Audette's salary.

maybe chicago feel they can revive audette like berezin. Some of the highlights from chicago games I have seen berezin looked okay, dont know what his stats areut i hat it when montreal ship someone off to another team and he then starts to play better and thrive in a different environment. We have done this with a number of players the last few years.

Give him to the lowest bidder...who cares...as long as we just get rid of him!

right now, the hawks aren't in a big rush to move mironov. since he walked out on the team, the team does not have to pay him. with that being said i would think the hawks would be looking at a prospect or 3rd or 4th round pick for him. i really don't see how audette could help them, considering they have a pretty small group of forwards.

Lies. How can the Hawks not use an overpaid, tiny, lazy excuse for a hockey player? They should be beating down AS's door for Audette, along with fistfulls of cash AND a first rounder. ;D

With Audette and Chow, we have enough slumping overpaid one-dimensional snipers to please 2 of those 3 teams in their quest !!!
Audette for Kloucek seems like a no brainer. Don't you find it odd that Savard was interested in Kloucek a few weeks ago and that now that Kloucek is in Nashville, the Preds are all of a sudden interested in Audette...

Trade him for a pick and eat some of his salary.
I'm starting to think Andre Savard is the Habs' version of Dan Duquette - an extremely bright, and capable executive who understands what you need to be successful, but has absolutely no personality, doesn't appreciate the "soft/people" issues and is very thin-skinned when it comes to criticism.
Is it possible Andre Savard just doesn't want to look bad by trading Audette for a pick and eating his salary? He probably thinks it woul be be completely "irrational" to make that trade, just like it was completely "rational" to trade Asham for Czerkawski.
Savard needs to stop playing the percentages, and start acting a bit on gut instinct. Get rid of Audette at all costs. JV is right, it would be addition by subtraction. Shake things up and FIRE Therrien. There's enough evidence of his total lack of coaching ability that you don't have to wait for a 5-game losing streak for crying out loud.

As much as I want Audette gone, I just can't see any team being interested unless the Habs concede too much in picks or salary absorbtion just to get a deal done.
Who knows, maybe the Hawks want to get something for Mironov ( they will lose him to UFA at season's end) & Savard & Smith have a trading history. Savard admitted the Berezin trade was a mistake and Smith took him off our hands. ( although not for very much).
If the deal is there do it. If Mironov doesn't work out flip him at the deadline.

If AS can get Kloucek for Audette, he will be back in my good books for sure! That would be an unreal trade.

I don't trust any rumor that originates on a message board that does not give a link to it's source....
Why would Chicago be interested in Audette? I never knew he had any Russian blood in him..

I heard the news anchor at RDS say it right after the Habs/Isles hilites. So it was reported by RDS.

Check your sources. Are they interested in Audette or O'Dette?
