gp g a pt pim shifts shots % ice time MARIUSZ CZERKAWSKI MTL 23 2 7 9 -1 14 15.7 34 5.90 00:12:10 DONALD AUDETTE MTL 23 2 5 7 -7 8 17.6 46 4.30 00:15:02
Why does Audette continually get good PP time, when he's in the lineup, but Czerkawski doesn't. Audette is a -7, and he's played close to 3 min on average more than Czerkaswki. That's at least 3 shifts on the PP. You may say 3min more a game isn't much?! Well Koivu and Zednik are both around 18 min. and change and their producing MUCH more than Audette. or JAN BULIS MTL 31 5 9 14 1 12 19.4 54 9.30 14:01
14 minutes a game on a defensive line, no time at all with Koivu and Zednik and he's producing much better than Audette. I know he's producing more than Czerkaswki too, but Audette has more ice time than both, for a one dimensional offensive player, I'm not seeing any of it!!
My point to all this?
I'm just fed up of the french media saying how Czerkawski is being given the same chance as Audette when he's in the lineup, well I just don't see it!
Just a side note but of Audette's 5 assists. How many of them were actually a pass to a team mate, I bet most of them was Audette taking a shot and a team mate putting in the rebound. ;D

Audette's last assist was a real beaut. Perreault almost had his jaw broke by it. Czerk hasn't been given a fair shot. Therrien obviously has no use for him. Audi has had more than his fair shot and is not getting it done. He doesn't seem to fit with this team at all. Why do we get to watch this painful process continue? Lack of cahones behind the bench, would be a place to start. Media pressure would be another.

I know some people don't want to hear it, but it is a language thing to an extent. Audette, Ribeiro and Theodore are all struggling yet are getting quality chances. I can understand that they want the local kid to do well, but after a certain point you move on, Audette had his chance, time to go!!

Well my hope is that they are playing him to showcase him, as there were a lot of scouts at the game last night. But I would be surprised if any team takes him. Maybe if he could convert on some of those shots he's getting, we could stand a chance of moving him, but it's not going to be easy.

Agree on Czerkawski. Problem is, as MT has discovered, if you're smallish down the middle, you need wingers with grit. He's found two who work with Koivu, and he's got one (Mckay) and a half (Gilmour) working with Perreault. That leaves no room for the Audette/Czerkawski synchro swimming girls. I like Czerkawski, but he needs to play with a big, physical centerman. Chris Gratton. Keith Primeau. Jason Arnott (see Turgeon), etc, etc.
It's going to be interesting to see how Savard gets out of this one. Because he can only go so long before the embarrassment and the distraction of having Czerk and Audette combine for an average 6 minutes a game gets to be too much.

If i had to choose between the two, i would keep Czerkawski. Chow is bigger (6'1" 200 vs. 5'8" 194), he's younger (30 vs. 33 for Audi) and he's also 400K cheaper. While both players are inept defensively, i think Chow at least makes an effort every now and then...even if he makes a bonehead play (TB game), at least there appears to be some effort there. Audi on the other hand Chow even has better numbers this year despite averaging 3 less minutes per game. He's got a few more points and is only -1 to Audi's -7. I would also agree that Audi has had a better opportunity than Chow to show his stuff on one of the top lines and on the PP. In an ideal world, i wouldn't mind seeing both guys go (and give Ward and Hossa a shot), but if given the choice between the two i would keep Chow.

I'm not impressed with either but i'd bet that if one is to find his old form for which AS is paying it will be CZ. To make matters worse is we don't need another smurf like Aud on our team. He is constantly being pushed off the puck and stays out of traffic. on the pp he hangs in the corner until he gets the puck at which time he makes a bad decision or his hands mess up. we already have small finesse players who can do a better job than Aud. what we don't have is a sniper and when cz is on his game that is what he brings. we should not be wasting our time with aud the retread but should be playing Cz to let him find his form. if and when he does he will fill a big void on this team. Aud has no such upside and we all know of his downsidesssssss( that's plural in case you didn't get the point).

I'm with the keep Czerk and find him some time to play crowd. You would think that at least at home with the last line change that MT could find some time for the 4th finess line with Ribs.
I figure there is still a chance that Czerk can start scoring if he plays enough on a regular basis. At least that way he might be tradeable. The way things are going now, we're getting the worst of both worlds.

Well now with Petrov out Chow should get a chance(the last one?) But he's probably be limited to Penalty Killing....

He get's traded for to score goals and is given no chance to do it by an Idiotic coach who has given a million and one chances to Rat face. *sigh*

I thought Czerkawski vs. Audette was a thread about the WWF (world wrestling federation) like Jesse Ventura vs. Dennis Rodman or Jesse Jackson vs. Trent Lott. Maybe another Zednik type fight on the bench? Hillary Clinton vs Martha Stewart would be a better fight than Czerk and Audi.
