We played well but we just couldn't finish. Nabokov was great, but alot of our shots were blocked, deflected by the Sharks D or we just couldn't put it up.
Tough loss because we gave a good effort and we can't win 3 in arrow.

Marc, the Habs will have another shot at beating the Sharks this season. Finally, again, the Habs and Sharks play 2 games in a season. The Habs will be in SJ on March 6. I am selling my regular ticket because I bought a 1st level ticket about 5 rows from the ice near Centre Ice behind the Penalty Box. I like to get close for those games. I did the same thing 2 seasons ago when the Habs were in SJ. I'm looking forward to that game.

i was happy with how the boys played. if not for Nabby this was our game. We had some great passing and some good pressure in SJ zone. It's hard to play from behind as if you don't score on your chances you know it's only a matter of time before you fall behind by 2 etc.
i thought Juneau had a weak game and Zed and Markov were not at their best. I'm not saying they were bad or the reason we lost but we do need them to excel in order to get the advantage. Saku was great as always and i even thought trav played not bad. Dyk is still a liabilty and made some bonehead plays.
I like the 4th line as they can surprise the other team. there are not too many teams who have that kind of offensive talent on their 4th line. but then again not too many have that kind of payroll on their 4th either. i also like the idea of using the 4th liners as spot duty on the other lines. But Aud on the pp is simply not working and I think others both deserve time on the pp and would be more effective. Aud makes bad choices and i think he does not have hand sense anymore since his injury. I don't mind him on the 4th but MT has to limit the pp time. aud problem isn't just defence. he is not producing.
It was a loss i can live with. i think they deserved better for their effort. They showed up and with some breaks could have taken 2 points.

Yup...on the Koivu-Zednik unit...Kilger or McKay should be told to be in front of the net creating havoc...but when Audette is there, nothing is happening because none of the 3 guys are going to the net or are in front of the net. Jacques how many minutes is that for Audette without a PP goal? he may be the most unproductive NHLer this year...

They've gotta do something to get this guy (and Chow) motivated. Maybe we should tell them if they don't start producing we'll get Oggie Ogelthorpe to straighten them out( or as the goalie in slapshot said 'Hoggie Hogeltorpe')

Marc, here are productivity figures for Audette:
95:09 minutes on PP = 0 goals. This is rather unsniper like to say the least.
He scores an even strength point every 66:53 minutes of even stregnth ice. If he was not on our team, this eyecatching figure would be downright laughable.
What to do...what to do??

good effort in a loss vs sj. the team played hard for 60 minutes. as for audette, he looks like he's trying to hard to score, he's gotta just play smart and thing will happen. i could see him going to another team and being fairly productive.
