Justice is served...NO WAY we deserved to lose that one and that great goal by Perreault was sweet. We played such a great game for 54 minutes, Theodore was great...we deserved the 2 points and we got them That doesn't change the fact we blew a lead and our PK was bad in the end 2 big points! Theodore was great in this game and so was...gulp..Traverse

One very nice thing is that the lines are starting to come together. Bulis/Juneau/Dack have been working good forever, Zed/Koivu/Kilger worked good lately and Gilmour/Perreault/Mac are starting to find each other. With the 4th line producing the odd goal and Theo shinning, things look very good.

We blew a lead only because we took bad penalties and Ottawa is 2nd best PP, not because we were collapsing under pressure and give goal like we do so often.. so that's positive! like you said, no way we deserved to lose this game. I'm impressed with the team since the game in Colorado. The coaching staff deserves some credits! Markov & Zednik are improving every game, Gilmour & Mac got their legs back, Theo is impressive! even Traverse played a good game Ps: Audette "stupidly" missed some occasions, but at least he seems hungry so for that reason keep playing him over Chow who never show any character. Olé Olé Olé! Go Habs Go!

Am I the only who thinks this team has improved dramatically since Kilger and McKay have been placed on the top 2 lines?
More size getting more minutes can only be a good thing.

You are right Marc, I mostly surprised by Kilger. He was one of my "tête de turque" (how do you translate that?) but he's playing very well so far. He has great speed to follow Zednik and maybe his hands are not that bad. He uses his shoulder, finally! Mackay, i just love him. Not affraid for Zchara, always annoying other team goalie. something we missed for so long.. And he speaks a very good french for a beaconsfield guy who lived in the states for so long!

Yep, where are the Gilmour naysayers now? Come out, crawl out of the woodwork, I know you're all festering in there.
Fantastic. What a pass. The other night he had a great behind the back pass to Chow that almost lead to a goal. The Gilmour bandwagon is leaving the station...everybody on yet?
I love seeing Kilger on the first line. He runs around and hits everything. What we desperately need. Koivu and Zed have enough grit to compliment him and their skill is rubbing off. Kilger sure hasn't lived up to his promise, but I'll take the four goal spurt. If he finishes the year with 10-15 I'll be really happy.

Definitely an entertaining game. Great to see Gilmour and McKay waking up. Two bonehead penalties by Quintal at the end.
It's just too bad that Markov had to pull another blatant dive on that Chara high stick. Man that guy's making a mockery of the league.

Agreed 24...I can't believe that some fans haven't learned anything from last year. Gilmour took a while to get going last year, and proved to be THE leader on that team. How quickly we forget! That is what I call Fairweather Fans! Now, a very good defensive game played by the Habs, they were good on the transition last night and took advantage of their opportunities. I found Brisebois had another tough night. Traverse, to quote Marc: "gulp", had a decent night. Tough NO-CALL on Chara for the high stick on Markov. You get some, you miss some...(don't want to sound like a Laff fan! ) I was surprised that RDS brought up the Mathias Brunet article in the first intermission. Not so much that they talked about it, but more the fact that they didn't dismiss what the reporter had pointed out. If Jacques Demers agrees, it means that something is brewing. Lately, I have found that him (Demers) and others on the network are PRO-Habs Corporate, rather than Pro Habs hockey team (players). I am not sure if you understand where I am going with this. Several events in recent weeks lead to believe that RDS is trying to sway public opinion by reporting favorably on MT's decision, naming Traverse first star, giving Theo a lot of slack when he was struggling, etc. To now have Demers come out and not directly shoot this article down says volumes about what is really going on in the dressing room. Funny thing that the team's fortunes turned around after a Koivu, Gilmour and co. spearheaded team meeting prior to the game in Colorado. Take notice, The Coach wasn't there and had nothing to do with it. The team is winning and that is great. But they are doing it despite Therrien, not because of him. Looks like we may get our wish early next year. MT is as good as toast. He won't get axed before xmas. They just don't do that. Further speculation on my part, for fun: Gainey came on RDS last week and said that he would be interested in coaching again. Yet, he has mentionned in an article this week that he wasn't interested in coaching in Calgary. Does this mean he is holding out for something else ? Coming up shortly? What do you think? We can only hope. Cheers, TheHabsfan

Are you being serious or sarcastic? Sarcasm all the way . Markov is, as Pierre McGuire would say, a "monster performer". I was just getting a jab in at Thornton.

As long as the team is in the playoff picture, Therrien stays. Savard is not interested in drama. And I don't think he's interested in having an interim coach behind the bench unless it's absolutely necessary. The time to look for a coach is during the off-season. I don't think Savard cares if the players like Therrien, as long as they do their jobs and play hard. He'll put the new guy in place for phase II when he's good and ready. And you all know what phase II is, right? Well, let me explain: IT'S PART TWO OF THE FREAKING MASTER PLAN BORN OF GENIUS AND CUNNING AND A GRASP OF DETAIL, NUANCE, AND SOUND STRATEGIC PLANNING THAT ONLY A FEW US CAN EVIDENTLY GRASP BECAUSE IT'S SO SUBTLE AND INGENIUS IT'S LIKE A MONITOR LIZARD THAT CHAMELEON-LIKE BLENDS IN WITH ITS BANAL SURROUNDINGS AND THEN SPRINGS ON THE UNSUSPECTING BABY PUFFIN BASKING IN THE SUN AND SWALLOWS IT WHOLE....MARK MY WORDS -- I KNOW I DO WHEN I TALK TO MYSELF AND I SOUND LESS CRAZY DAY BY DAY -- THINGS ARE GETTING BETTER AND THE WORLD WILL ONE DAY LIVE IN PEACE AND IF ANYBODY YELLS AT ANYBODY ELSE I'LL BE THE FIRST TO JUMP ON THEM AND GIVE THEM MEDICATION BUT UNTIL THEN I MUST PREACH THE GOSPEL TO INFIDELS AND PRAY FOR THEM DAILY THAT THEY MIGHT BE SAVED FROM THE COUNSELS OF DESPAIR AND NULLIFICATION, I CAN BE REACHED AT www.johnnysvisionoftheworld.com
