I swear, Kerry Fraser is the biggest hab hater among refs...with McGoo a close 2nd...

Don't get me started on Fraser... Wings and Rangers fans have endured his crap for years, he used to ref so many games for those teams... the guy must put on 20 lbs of hair gel a night just to form a protective barrier to keep his monstrous ego from blowing his head up.

The NHL should make all on ice officials wear helmets. Period. Players do and refs / linesmen need to as well for their safety. The upside, as far as Fraser is concerned, is that after he gets over being pissed off about not being able to showcase his lid, say 300 - 400 games, then he may well put his ego aside and, with gel / mousse no longer running into his eyes and messing up his vision, hemay just get to refereeing objectively.

When they showed Markov on the bench with the trainer it appeared that he was pointing to the padding on the top of his pants. He may have taken most of the impact there. That's why he was able to continue. Fraser is a spotlight seeker. He's the guy that will call a too-many-men penalty with 2 minutes to go in the 7th game of the Stanley Cup final. He thinks people pay $100 a crack to watch him ref a hockey game. What a schmo.

There's a new product we could send Fraser - Anti-Rogaine. He'll soon put a helmet on.

Who cares if markov was faking. it doesn't excuse the blatant spear. so by good fortune Markov's pad saves him from serious injury that means thorton shouldn't be penalized. i guess an intentional stick across the head is ok as long as you hit the helmet and the other guy isn't hurt. Fraser should read the rule book. apparently Campbell didn't care whether Markov was faking.
I don't think fraser has favorites except for himself. when i see he's the ref i know there is going to be some strange call which will probably effect the outcome of the game and i just hope it' goes in our favor. the only thing predictable about fraser is that he insists on being the determining factor in every game he refs.

That's like hitting someone in the head with a baseball bat and by miracle the guy is OK...does that mean the act was OK? of course not....
