Is this guy one tough SOB or what?
Against the Thrashers he gets a Heatley slap shot on his foot, comes back and plays huge minutes all night for us
For the next 2 days, he is on crutches and plays against the Bruins at probably far from 100%
Last Friday, falls down on the ice, hurts his thumb, but plays 22 hours later
and then yesterday, gets one dirty spear to the gut by Joe Thornton and still continues on...
...certainly not your typical Euro when it comes to playing with injuries! attaboy!

Ya Baby... Markov is Da Man!! It would be great if all of the defencemen on the habs had cojonies like this kid. He goes out every night and plays... and plays.... and plays. If Hainsey and Komi turn out the way we hope we will have the BIG THREE re-incarnated.

He can't speak one of the two official languages. that's perfect, the fans and the media cant get to him. ;D markov is gotta be one of the most improved players in the league the last year or so. a good warrior with great offensive ability, and still very young. with komo and hainsey, we are going to have a killer trio of dmen in montreal very soon. the big three for the 2000's

See the signature ;D
Looks like Markov has really improved his english...you see him talking to the trainers, to his teammates, etc and he is understanding what they are saying.
This guy is a gem. He'll be a top 10 d-man in the league in no time.

Lotsa Russians can be tough. Just look at Petrov. Then there's Kovalchuk and Volchenkov, the tank on defence in Ottawa. Then of course there was WW2 on the Eastern Front which we really can't imagine. About 20-30 million Russian dead. But that's another story and not for here. You gotta like this kid. Looking up in Habs land, folks. Time to cast off some of the angst and enjoy life. ;D (phew, all that smiling is hard work)
