this kinda got started in an earlier thread, i though it might deserve it's own. my take on what's wrong with theo: 1. the contract: isn't it funny iginla stuggled out of the gate as well. i think when a young player signs a big contract, wins some thophys, sometimes he wants to prove his worth and starts over analizing situations. i notice, expectially in some of the early games, theo looked like he was anticipating a play, and got handcuffed when it didn't happen. i can remember thinking this on two goals, i can't remember the games though 2. when a player starts to struggle sometimes he tends to over commit, and try to break out of his slump with one big play, in this case one save. theo has looked out of position more in one game this year, than all of last year. it's like he doesn't trust his skills. 3. everytime i saw a shot of theo last year, traffic in his crease, he seemed obivious to who was around him. his eyes were fixed on the puck, dropping into the butterfly at the right time, make the save, and BANG on his skates again. this year, too many times, he drops early, doesn't seem to see the puck, and doesn't get back up anywhere close to as quick as last year. i don't know if this has anything to do with conditioning or what.
just some thing i have noticed.

That and some crappy luck. Remember the goal the Canes scored against him in Carolina in that 2-2 tie?
The 2nd goal?
Kind of luck that happens when things don't go well
