Just line the Gulf War was 'Operation Desert Storm', whenever Theo plays, we can call it 'Operation Nez Rouge' !!!! ;D

He needs to go back to school...sit on the bench. Remember when we had Moog, and Theo sat?

It's getting to the point where the only person that can rebut this is Jose himself(and soon I hope)

He needs to go back to school...sit on the bench. Remember when we had Moog, and Theo sat? No I don't, 'cause it never happened. Moog split the season with another goalie with the initials JT - Jocelyn Thibault. That season Théodore played 53 games in the AHL, so he wasn't exactly sitting. I think the one who needs to go back to school is Habboy myself ;-)

oops...dunno why i get Thibault and Theodore mixed up You get the idea, its good for a young goalie to sit, especially if he isnt playin well, and watch a veteran at work...

Well something is very wrong with Theodore. I have no ideal what's the problem, but we should ask for our money back from him. He gets the biggest contract ever in Habland, and he's 43rd in GAA ? Just look at the games he's lost, 2 games 7 goals, 2 games 6 goals against, 1 game of 5 goals plus the flyers game of 4 goals where he got pulled, and probably would have given up 6 or more. Thats 35 goals in just 6 games! But it's irony for sure, as Theo helped Therrien keep his job with his great play last year, and now that he sucks, he could very well cost Therrien his job if he keeps playing like this and MT keeps giving him the nod.

I still truly believe the presence of Hackett has him spooked. I know to many that seems illogical and a piss poor excuse for a multi million dollar vezina trophy winner but for some reason i think the trade of hackett will resolve Theodore's struggles.

Either way if I was in a keeper league and there was a disgruntled Theodore owner, I'd try to acquire him for cheap. Ditto for Iginla.
Too much talent in him and the Habs will have too much talent for him to keep on sucking this bad. It's just impossible. Unless Theodore becomes a drug addict or something or gets injured seriously.

Not necessarily Viper. I mean, I think it was you who pointed out not too long ago that Theo did well when Hack was injured. You may not be all that out in left field when you figure there are other examples of that around the league. For instance, Doug Gilmour excelled as the Top Dog in Toronto until Mats Sundin came along. After Gilmour went to the number-2 centre position, his played ebbed until Toronto had to finally move him at the trade deadline. I felt he also excelled with the Habs last year when he realized what he was being relied upon for. You may have to ask MT and AS, but, other than Theo, I don't think anyone was relied upon more than Gilmour. Felix Potvin worked in the opposite mode. He excelled because a young goaltending stud named, Damien Rhodes, was on the bench. At that time, all Rhodes needed was a chance and Felix knew it. But, when Damien when to Ottawa, Felix floundered. He had no one there to push him. Another identical situation was true of Ken Dryden and Michel Larocque. That was actually Dryden's version in his book anyway. I don't think you're theory is all that much out in left field, Viper. But, if we test that theory by moving Hack and it turns out wrong, he ain't coming back and it will be too late. Cheers.

I remember hearing on CKAC a few years ago, Martin Brodeur answering a question about how would he feel if his team gets a number 1 goalie and how would he react towards having competition.. his respond was pretty clear..... No Way !
When I heard this and when I see the situation with Theodore.. it trully makes sense to me believe that Theodore may not like Hackett's presence.. ( not that he hates him, but for his game ).
I think it's in a point where, Theodore wants to be the big show between the pipes.. with no more contreversy surrounding HIS net.

A phew differences with the Brodeur thingme....
a) Brodeur is established, Theo's had 1 good year. b) Hackett has been around since Theo started, really started. c) Like it or not, competition is a good thing. If he can't cut it, he's in real trouble. d) Theo's making 5.5 Million a year. Sorry, but i'm not real sympathetic to excuses, especially the kind that involve another athlete out playing him.
I think Theo will rebound, but never again will he see the numbers he obtained last year. Shooters now have a page book on Theo, he is no longer new.

Tks Dis a couple things When hack is gone I feel Garon will be the Rhodes to Theo an unproven challenger versus an established vet who happened to be a major influence on Theodore's surgence to stardom will be very different to his psyche. As Habsolutely mentioned about the controversy in HIS nets i believe there's something in his mind that makes him feel when hack is around the nets are in fact not his. A boy never wants to show up his dad if you know what i mean. secondly ya if the theory gets tested and proves incorrect ouch ........................
