TFP and Spectors both reported that Andre Savard has been talking with Jay Feaster from Tampa bay, supposedly about Pavel Kubina. Feaster is also supposedly trying to upgrade his defense. If Feaster is looking to trade Kubina I sure wouldn't mind him 6'4" 225lbs and he's offensive. What would we have to give up for this guy or do you think he's been talking about someone completely different. I wouldn't mind Modin either who is supposedly on the block. About Kubina www.tsn.ca/nhl/teams/player_bio.asp?player_id=476&hubName=TBAbout Modin www.tsn.ca/nhl/teams/player_bio.asp?player_id=1209&hubName=TBI don't see any physical D-men on TB other than Cory Sarich, but he's a righty. What could we package to get one of these guys, or both?

No offence but viper started an exact same thread talking about Kubina a day or two ago(it's at the bottom of the page).
I don't think Kubina fits in well with the Habs. Being another righty shot et all. He is also the kind of guy the MTL media will get on quickly if he doesn't produce.

i've heard that kubina's become tampa's whipping boy this year. if a guy gets on the bad side of tampa fans, watch out if ya come to montreal. that being said, i think these are the type of players AS should be looking at, talented, younger players whose value is at a low point. sometimes gm's give up players like that for a lot less than expected.
