Okay well the whole thing is getting wierd now with Theodore but i'm still very comfortable in saying he will return to form. I truly believe Hack's departure is of utmost importance in Theo's resurgance but that's just a hypothetical theory regarding the way he's been so stellar in the net's when Hack has been out with Injury. I feel he's spooked by his mentor's presence in a way.
Anyhow the reason for this thread is why oh why do we even start questioning Theodore or Hack (even though he's been great so we cant.)in the first place when really the team has been failing miserably in front of both of them for quite some time now. The goaltending is the absolute last of this teams concerns. They say you build from the net out and well if you ask me (and probably everyone else) that seems to be the plan. With Hainsey and Komisarek grooming, Markov EXPLODING, Rivet and Briser locked in for a few years things look good. The biggest problem with our defense IMO is our lack of 2 way forwards. I wonder if our defensemen would be significantly better at making the all important outlet pass if the forwards we're more effectively supporting them. It's extremely hard to evaluate our blueline and it's effectiveness because of so many insubordinate forwards IMO. Here's my last question do we get more effective defensemen next or do we dish out the deadweight outfront and try to acquire more effective 2 way guys up front. I think the forward group is the situation that needs to be handled first. The blueline seems to me to be on the way to where we want it to be. Maybe a short term stop gap till the start of next year for the blueline is in order but i believe the primary focus should be on the Offense.
