Zednik really reminds me of Peter man. I'm telling you teams are starting to get that sinking feeling when he touches the puck. I really think he can be the the NHL's next Forsberg.

Well he doesn't have his size.
But in style they are pretty close.
In 2 years from now they could put up similar numbers if things go right for Zed

Zed is 3 years younger than Forsberg.
Is he anywhere close to where Foppa was 3 years ago ?

Like I said in the post that got erased, Zed is no Forsberg. Peter is a center with vision that can control the tempo of a game. Z is a sniper who doesn't use his slapshot enough. This is simply not a fair comparison. Z can be a 40 goal scorer, while PF can be a 40 goal scorer with 60 assists ta boot. Completely different players.

No way, not even close. To me Forsberg is one of the top players in the entire world. Zednik isnt even in the top 5 Slovak players in the NHL. Forsberg has won everything, and can do it all in the game. Zednik has good speed, great balance, loves to shoot and some of those shots go in. I see Zednik as a 30 goal scorer, but so far he's had a great start to the season. I would give up any player in our system to get Forsberg, as the guy is freakin great.

Actually, Forsberg (6'0" 205lbs) isn't that much bigger than Zed (6'0" 198lbs). But it's not the slight size advantage that makes Forsberg so much better than Zed. As others have pointed out, Forsberg is dominant in all aspects of the game, and is one of the best players in the game today.

Forsberg is better balanced then Zednik. That allows him to hit with more force. Plus he can take hits and be pushed while still maintaining possession of the puck. The other huge difference is that an opponent has to worry about 10 weapons that the Av's have thus distributing the pressure and allowing Forseberg more room. This compares to two that the Hab's have. Mind you, if Ribs becomes the next Gretzky that we all think he will be, then we have nothing to worry about.

Frankly I don't see much similarities between the 2 aside from the fact that they both have good hands. Foppa is the compete package, effective in every situation that plays a solid game in every zone while Zed is strictly an offensive weapon. Foppa has passing and playmaking skills that Zed doesn't have and while Zed has a nice gritty side, Foppa is downright rough and nasty.
Zed compares better with a Bondra IMO.

Zubbie just broke his hand I believe. But he is out 4-5 weeks.
Another lost season for him it looks like.
