Well call me crazy but Colorado needs a big man to park in front of the net. They need someone relatively cheap + they need help for their last couple of Defensive pairings. Would AS be showing off the likes of Kilger to Colorado tonight? Would a deal be in place depending on the big guys performance? And if Col is looking for some scoring help why isn't Czerkawski playing aswell tonight since Audette is out of the lineup. With 5 million$$ looking from the stands I am really getting nervous about what the club is trying to do?

Could be. They do need more big bodies in Denver.

Could be. They do need more big bodies in Denver. Sure, why not? I mean, we got big bodies to spare! Kilger for Dean McCammond? Jeff Shantz? Why not?

It's be nice to see Kilger get a legitimate shot on the first line, but knowing this coach, he'll be lucky to get out of the first period, before the musical line combinations start twirling.

Why a team that is so small and passive would want to trade one of their few big, physical players I don't know. Of course, maybe they don't want to deal him so this is all for naught, but the point still stands. He shouldn't go anywhere unless for another big guy.

Kilger is big and ca make a difference if he plays on the top two line. On a fourth line he seems like he is floating arroung and does not throw is body as much. Trading him would be good since we dont make use of him anyway...... But hopefully we would be trading only if a dmen is coming back the other way which I doubt.

Well....this is my first post on this site....courtesy of Viper.
I've been disgusted with the team this year, with the exception of saku, richard and yanic. This business about Kilger is a nuisance....especially on the top line. I don't mind kilger, but without a doubt he is not top line material.
To me, the facts remain the same, you have czer and audette, two guys that at the start of last season were well regarded in the league...they come to mtl...and voila....no good. If nothing else...use them as they use spezza....play them on the pp...around 10 minutes a game, where they can use there offense and regain some confidence....without jeopardizing team chemisty. We have 3 good lines that could be rotated ongoing with the 4th line / power play line filling in when needed. The only other idea is to put gilmour out with those guys....a player who can knock the sense into anyone to play harder and smarter. Think about it....noting that kilger has been benched and bulis has been moved to the top line. Why not? Better than wasting them away in the press box instead of playing the likes of lindsay etc.
koivu / zednik / bulis ribeiro / perreault / petrov mckay / juneau / dackell gilmour / audette / czer
go habs.

Not our fault(the fans) we have MT and AS running the ship.

MT is probably just playing true to form. The one thing that's been consistent about him is that when things go bad he's all over the map in trying to find a solution. It's desparation.
That's my view anyway.
