Just watching the Oilers/lightning game and they were talking about Jason Cullimore being a great defenceman, now why did we get rid of him he would have been a greta defenceman here but we let him go, he was put on waivers I believe and Tampa picked him up. I would like to have him back now. 6'5 230 hes just what we need.

Cullimore is definitely someone we could use right now...Markov is our most physical defenceman Go figure

Wasn't he part of that Tucker trade? where we got Ulanov+Poulin they got Richer+Tucker+Cullimore
Cullimore would sure look good here.

What about murray baron!?? He's been playing great for the canucks over here on the west coast. I'm more pissed about losing him. If cullimore is tampa's best d-man, then i'd be afraid to see who their worst is!

Better than Rivet, Quintal. Dykhuis and Traverse Have you seeen him play? He is another Traverse. I saw him play live when he was in Montreal and I could tell you one thing, he stunk. Mind you, since I lack the intestinal fortitude to watch Cullimore's career, he may have improved a LITTLE bit. But I doubt it. You know what they say about the grass and how it's greener way over there, across the street..........................

LOL!
Traverse is just bad. How this guy plays so much is unreal. Cullimore has to be better. I mean he wouldn't be one of the better d-man on a decent/good team for no reason

I was watching the game on tsn and Gary Green said that he is there best stay at home defenceman. I would take him over alot of our defencemen. He has some pretty good size to him now too.

Speaking of that game, my boy Fedotenko just scored to make it 3-2 Bolts with 3 minutes to go.
Yes, the Bolts didn't get shafted in that deal as baddly as many thought

Bolts win 3-2. The East just gets tighter and tighter.
Tim Taylor, man the guy can win draws...

Don't forget the deal was not only Fedotenko. They got a bunch of draft picks. One, I believe, that was used to get Lukowich a decent d-man for them. I have no idea who they picked with the other picks. When you are a franchise like the Bolts and you need to win now, trading a 4th overall pick(after the 3 studs of the draft are gone) to get a good 25 goal scorer like Fedotenko and a decent d-man IMO is not that bad of a move. In fact that was a good deal for both teams. I am sure the Flyers are more than happy to have Pitkanen.

I still think they could have got a better player or something out fo it then Fedotenko, there were bettr players on Philly that they were probably willing to part with, not sure who but they were probably could have gotten someone a little bit better.

Damn Bruins win 4-3 in OT. Damn
OK, back on topic ;D
Perhaps Flyers would have parted with a Justin Williams but I guess the point is moot because the deal is done

You know what they say about the grass and how it's greener way over there, across the street.......................... Cullimore is much more physical then Traverse... He'd look like a serial killer compare to any of our dmen... We have a problem here HA, the only dmen in our whole system that might play a physical game and throw some checks will be a rookie in 2 years (at least). Brisebois, Markov, Hainsey and Traverse are all relatively soft dmen. Souray is a big question mark. The only time I've seen him be physical was in last year's playoff. Otherwise is a pusher when he's not MIA. Rivet might have been a guy that could throw wicked checks and even drop the mits 4 years ago but those days are long gone. Not much more then a glorified 3rd pair dmen who should get his lazy butt kick back in high gear. Quintal... well... what is it you said about cow ? Dykhuis.. See Rivet.. Glorified 3rd pair dmen. Could a good dmen coach get some action outa that bunch? I dunno but like for our forwards, we have to many similar type of dmen IMO.

and if you saw Komi play you would say he isn't exactly mean yet...the mean streak shows up sometimes but not all the time
Man Kloucek could look good here. That guy hits everything. I doubt he even knows what a scoring a goal is(lol) but he hits.

stop rooting for the bolts marc! heh... eventually they're going to lose their division, and extra points like they got tonight could bite a team like lets say THE HABS in the ass... no one in the east should get habs fans applause when they're playing a western conference opponent.

I have never been a fan of bringing back players we got rid of. Examples that come to mind are Richer, Corson, Quintal, etc.... Granted, some helped, but most IMO were taking up a roster spot for nothing. I would be against getting a guy like Cullimore back. Sure he is big, but he is also soft. I don't see how backtracking will help the team. If we are going to trade for help, go for players who are known for the qualities we are looking for....a tough, bad a$$ mother flipper.... Ference, Kloucek are good young guys who could be had if the price is right. And I think that we could probably get them if.... They are tough, they hit hard and are intimidating. So what if they take the odd stupid penalty...They play with an edge and that is what we need, more so than a forward IMO. Cullimore wouldn't bring us this quality, only a bigger Dykhuis. Cheers, TheHabsfan
