Stability and a System

Like most of the posters to this board I have played hockey on some very good teams and some very bad teams and there is one constant involved in winning. The team has to be a team in every sense of the word. They have to play unselfish, disciplined and stand up for each and every member on the team.
They don't need to be the most talented or highest paid, but the hardest working and confidence.
I'm not going to believe for a second that I know more then people like Demers, Macguire, Savard or any other person that has coached or been a GM at that level, with the exception of Therrian. We are all smarter then him.
But teams need stability and a system. The core of the team has to know who they are and you can tinker with pieces when neccessary, but if you can't point out your top 9 forwards and assign duties you are in trouble. If Koivu and Zednick do not know who is on the top line with them each night how do you form a gameplan?
Hows do guys prepare for a game when a player doesn't know if he is the second line centre or the third line winger night after night?
If you tell a guy like Kilger you are our third line winger who will check, cycle the puck, play sound defense and score if the chance arises and play 10-12 minutes a night so we can rest the top line then this guy is as happy as a clam.
Teams also need a system even if it is Pat Burns get two goals per game and then nobody crosses center ice, or Jacques Demers try to out score the opposition and have the best goalie in hockey shut their offense down.
At the moment this team has neither. Putting together lines for offense but getting outshot 2:1 can't work.
No consistancy in the lines is confusing.
Guys fighting on the bench is not good for moral to say the least.
Sitting players that could help the team is simply wrong. Either Audette or Chow has to go or both since character doesn't seem great with either guy.
And if Therrian has to go as well...so be it, but bring in a coach that has vision and a game plan.
