Wave Ribeiro... he's a punk who cares... Plekanek is Mike Bossy anyway. Wave Kilger too he can't play. Wave Audette and Petrov. Wave Hackett he's finished. Wave Theodore he was just a flash in the pan. Wave Traverse, Dykhuis and Brisebois, they're...well...French. Call up Ward, Hainsey and Hossa and then Wave them too, they're no good because they're not NHL players... Wave, wave wave... Then... we'll get new one from waivers at the end of year... That's how you build. That's how you bring credibility to a franchise. Long Live Savard and Therrien. I'm waving boss..........

I don't know guys, Savard's comments might be a tad unfair, IMHO.
Mike Ribeiro was playing excellent hockey in the preseason; excellent hockey. Then that rookie Russian defenseman in Ottawa took him out along the boards; poof! Gone for six to eight weeks.
And now, he's being preceived as a boy?
Honestly, guys, Mike just can't get into the lineup for any duration of time. His situation is like so many little fires that have to be dealt with right now. The problem is, all of these little fires seem to be on a merger course of sorts.
I think Mike still has the tools to stick around in the NHL. If he's traded, watch him excel with less disorganization and stress around him.
Just the way I feel, guys. Cheers.

Truely on paper it looks better but on the scoresheet it's pretty much the same we're a mediocre 500 hockey team that used to have a coach and no player's now we have more player's and need a coach the end results are almost the same. I know we made the playoff last year and won a round but that had more to do with a certain Hart and Vezina winner than anything else.
cheer's Killger

You have provided a tremendously large amount of hypothetical possibilities but nothing of substance that is the problem i have with your defense of Savard. Of course i want the fairy tale to come true and all the possibilities and chips to fall the right way but thus far the way the actual team looks as far as balance is concerned regarding the over abundance of RW's, the overpaid vet's, and the poor coaching that get's contract extensions. Their is many facts that provide evidence to the contrary. I respect your optimism and your wishes that's admirable and of course i hope they pan out but the fact remains that everything you've ever brought up is hypothetical. I want facts not hypothesis. We'll talk about it in a few years, when this team will be where it should be. You can't understand and you will never understand.. I brought FACTS for god sakes, you can't read ? It's not because this team is on a losing streak that okay, everyone sucks. I don't want to repeat myself. (HA starts to cry........HA is going to get Mr. Louisville)

That sounds awfully like an assistant coach trying to push a player onwards, and not a GM who thinks of the long-term good of his franchise.
Did AS get the memo about his role on this team ?

Everyone has an opinion on Ribs, I haven't made up my mind yet, but the thing that bothers me the most is AS's behaviour all of a sudden.
What GM in his right mind slams his own prospects? I heard that he also said he doubts Ward or Gratton will ever make the NHL! Why would you publicly devalue these guys? Prospects are often a part of trades. Even if what he is saying is acurate, it is like a used car salesman saying, "we've got a lot of junk on the lot, want to buy something?"
What does this do for morale within the system? Unless as someone suggested, he is trying reverse psycology here to motivate these guys, but you gotta wonder...

What would a real coach do with this team keep asking yourself this question. IMO they would be better how much I don't know. Why don't we just blow the whole thing up and bring in Gainey and Robinson. HFTO
