After watching the game last night between the Nucks and the Islanders they interviewed Asham. He seemed very poised, scored a goal last night and seems very thankful for the opportunity. Isn't it freekin amazing what some ice time and confidence can do for a guy. He may not be a super star but he is playing to his potential. Why was he not given the same opportunities when he was a hab? do we have a team full of superstars and did not have the room or the time to let him develop to the best of his potential? We gave up noth ing in return for Chow was how most people felt, Well he is playing, looks confident and actually is playing a roll which is more than I can say for Chow. The difference being of course that Asham was allowed to find himself and played through the adversity. Who is looking after the teams best interest in Montreal? Consider the calibre of players that have gone through our team the last seven years and now look at our lineup. This franchise had playing at one time not to long ago, Damphousse, Turgeon, Recchi, Ruchinsky savage bure tucker and more. What the hell happened here. These players are all gone and we have a team in dissaray. The best is yet to come you say? dont hold your breath, with our record of developing players in the past and the way we seem to be headed with the current lot in Hamilton I dont see much difference. Two guys leading the AHL in scoring and they are not given an opportunity with the parent club. They cant skate we are told, well if they cant skate in the AHL are they not playing against future NHL stars? they seem to be holding their own. As a matter of fact in the two games that have been televised most looked like they could play on this years version of the parent club. Sorry for the Ranting and raving but I am sick and tired of losing and seeing no light at the end of the tunnel with our track record in mind
