today wasn't a good day for the habs. and it seems that every thread, and every post is negative on this board right now, and i'm the same way. all i've been thinking it how bad every move the team makes is, and how bad some of the players, and the team itself are playing. while some of this being true i'm now going to take the time to point out a few good things about the team, in an effort to calm myself down, i hope it works.
-saku koivu is healthy! and playing great -richard zednik is emerging as one of the league's best goal scorers and is on pace to score 40 this season. -andrei markov is developing into one of the league's best offensive defensemen while playing a sound defensive game aswell -at 10-9-4-1 the team is one game above .500, and there are 12 teams with worse records then ours. -when playing well jeff hackett and jose theodore combine to be the leagues best 1-2 punch, as far as goaltending is concerned. -the late 90's are over, 70 point season's seem to be behind us. -the farm looks strong (hainsey, komi, hossa, ward, etc.) -the montreal canadiens are the greatest hockey franchise of all time (this one always makes me feel better)
well i feel better already...

Thanks for the moral booster. I think we all need it and the points aren't just platitudes. They bode well for the future. Unfortunsately we are all caught up in the present and sometimes lose sight of the fact that it ain't so bad now and it sure looks promising not too far away. I guess the concern is the pain it looks like we are going to endure in the immediate future. but i do feel better. thanks again.
