Along with Blouin and mr waivers.
Jesus C, am I the only who thinks we could use Kilger somehow? I mean he could help us with his size, on the PK, defensively, etc

it's almost too much to whine about this stuff day in and day out when we know therrien is never going to play the right players. he's a moron, we all know it, except savard apparently. i think AS is smarter than that though. as long as markov is on the 1st pp unit, and audette isn't i'll be happy with the line up. same goes for traverse being out during the last 2 minutes if the game is close, he doesn't have that type of confidence.
-didnt know b**** was automatically changed to pregnant dog, made my post look pretty funny. ;D

Marc: I definitely agree with you on this one. When I look at Kilger, I see the same mistakes the Habs were making with Leclair. I am not saying that Chad is as talented as Leclair though. Leclair has a much better shot. But Kilger is a good skater and is solid defensively. If Chad could play on a regular basis, I am sure that he would come through for us in a big way. In order to play well, you need confidence. In order to have confidence, you need a lot of ice time. Sure he will make mistakes, that's part of learning. For some reason, Coach Moron is living with Traverse's bonehead plays, why not Kilger and Chow?
I see Kilger playing regularly on the third line with Juneau and Dackall. Bulis should move up to the second line.
The coach needs to give these guys a chance to prove themselves. Not one game at a time. Regular ice time.

and for goodness sake, leave the sprinklers off!!!

God this would be such a kick a$$ lineup
Bulis-Koivu-Zed Hossa-Perreault-one of the 3 RW Kilger-Juneau-Dackell
Much more size among the key forwards...younger and ultimately better

What's with the Kilger love affair on this board The guy has the hockey sense of a toad, the hands of a construction worker, and the agility of a donkey. The only thing he does relatively well is skate with decent speed in a straight line. When asked to cover more than his share of the ice, he is usually out of the play because he is falling down trying to pivot. He does not have the agility nor is he strong enoough on his skates to do any more. Kilger would be decent as a checking LWinger (not Center) on a team such as the Senators, where the wingers are asked to stay along the boards. The majority of the defensive responsibility is put on the center. On the Habs, where things are a little more free-whealing than Ottawa, Kilger just does not fit in with his VERY limited skills. Even when he hits, it doesn't hurt the other guy as opposed to when Lindsay hits someone. Suffice to say, I have seen enough of Kilger ot know there is no chance of him ever becoming another Scott Thornton, let alone another John Leclaire.

I'm with you except for two things: first, he skates a bit better than you suggest (in terms of his agility); and second, he'd still be better used here as a 3rd line winger. As it is he's being wasted while the lineup is stocked with waste-products. Bulis can handle himself on the second line and Kilger would thrive in his spot.
The problem with the Habs forward lines has to do with the top 6, not the "role players". Most of Juneau, Dackell, Bulis, Kilger, Mckay and Lindsay are being poorly or under-used.
