This is hardly what we want to read at this point in the season. Everything that is written here has already been discussed and fretted over on this board from time immemorial. Now, we see beat reporters writing the same thing is even more disheartening. They are confirmong and validating our disillusionment.
Our Hab's have problems. Big problems. And it starts with the idiot Therrein.

The Canadiens have just eaten @#%$ against Boston. The score doesn't tell the whole story. In the second period the Bruins shot 14 times before "les glorieux" succeeded in returning fire towards the Bruins goal.
Even with four minutes man-advantage when Martin Lapointe was off, the Canadiens "power play" conceded two shots and a chance to score to the Bruins before getting a shot on goal.
José Theodore made it possible for his team to remain in the game until late in the third period. But he was bombarded with dangerous shots all afternoon.
NHL players, if they have time to adjust their shots, are lethal. You have only to think of the All-Star game. You have the best goalkeepers in the league, Patrick Roy, Dominik Hasek, Martin Brodeur and company, and yet the final score is often something like 14 to 10 for...the scorers.
It's what is too often happening with the Canadiens. As soon as the defense starts to panic, the goalies are subjected to a fair-ground shooting gallery.
The Canadiens are playing at slightly above 500 but it's a misleading record. The team has played more than its share at the Bell Centre, and Jeff Hackett, like José Theodore all last season, has stolen points from the opposition.
The reality is that this team is disappointing...
And worrisome.
