We were looking for 2-3 years ago. This guy is just unstoppable if healthy. He has speed, he has grit, he goes into the corners, has good hands, plays with passion, etc. We saw it late last year and in the playoffs and it has carried on to this year.
And he is only 26 years old. Plenty of great days to come. Zednik-Koivu could become a combination as dangerous as anyone in the league. Get them a big body on the right side who can skate and has good hands and that could be a top 5 line in this league.
Once again, Savard's best trade by far. Maybe we should make more deals with the Caps ;D

Landon Wilson would be perfect. He may not be the most consistent player there is, but PF take a while to fully develop.
With two sparkplugs like Z and Koivu, it would probably lit a fire under his @$$ and he would be producing consistently... perhaps.

Does he have stone hands? can he skate? I know he was highly touted and has always had a ''potential power forward'' tag stuck on him. Sometimes players like that take more time to develop and once they find the right fit, they start dominating. I'll answer my own questions: tsf.waymoresports.thestar.com/thestar/hockey/player.cgi?0834wow...guy has all the tools and is doing well this year in a checking role...

I don't really know... as I haven't seen him play lately (with the 'Yotes, seen him once with the Bruins I think) but he's said to have above average speed and good hands. forecaster.ca/thestar/hockey/player.cgi?08346'3 232lbs... that's what we need. If not him, Isbister might be interesting too, but we'd have to overpay.

He is playing on a checking line down there...with Doan at center most of the time...
If the price is cheap, I hope we are interested. Hell if they want Petrov for him, do it.

As long as the guy is big, goes into the corners, and can skate with the 2 of them, then I would consider him. As long as his touch around the net is not Kilger-esques and is more Petrov-esque, I don't mind either. The skill I would be most concerned with is his vision/intelligence. Again, if it's Kilger-esque, then forget about it.
As you can tell, I am not a big Kilger fan.
Sorry KILLger ;D

I'm not a big Therrien fan... Kilger isn't the best around the net, but he can be a good checking line center... what does Therrien? He plays him 9 mins a game! What a way to improve the young guy!

I'm not a big Therrien fan... aside from the french media as a whole, does he have one left? and if he keeps scratching Ribeiro, the french media may turn against him after-all ;D

Why don't they just smarten up and give Ward a chance? He's proven he can score in the AHL. He's paid his dues, he skates a lot better than in the Houle era. Why couldn't we try him on the wing with Zed and Koivu? (Of Course MT would have to be gone for that to happen) ;D

Landon Wilson is lookin mighty attractive in terms of size, potential, and #'s this year. AS should really look into picking him up ASAP... as for Ward, i'd love to see him get a shot, but on the 2nd line, i don't think he's first line material, YET...

Hey guys, do you know what happened to our pre-season player analysis?
I wanted to bring it up and point out how smart and sexy I was by predicting a 40 goal season for Zed. Yup, I said it but NOOO you guys had to argue, didn't ya...mutts.
Yup, Zed could get 50 if the MThead gave Zed and Koivu sonmeone to play with instead of that waste of space Audiette. The kid has great balance and damn powerfull for a 200 pounder. 3 inches and 30 more pounds and he would be a dynamite power forward. Yup....
Pocket Power Forward....there's got to be a better description then PPF.Hmm, how about PFR? Power Forward Redux? *sick*

zed's played awesome so far, and i really hope he breaks 40 as a hab, it hasn't been done for 9 seasons! (vinny scored 40 in 93-94). i feel a hot streak coming on, i say he'll have 25 by the new year.

isn't he on a hot streak already? ;D
It feels so good being right about a trade. I knew this trade would be a great one for our team the day we made it.
