i was just wondering if anyone knew what the lines are gonna be for tomorrow night's game? if they were trying any new lines or pairings at practice yesterday or today? if it were me coaching i'd switch things up, here's my proposed lines:
bulis - koivu - zednik
czerkawski - perreault - audette
kilger - juneau - dackell
lindsay - gilmour - mckay
line 1: bulis has shown dramatic improvement this season, and looks good offensively on an all checking line, i think giving him a shot on the top line might prove beneficial.
line 2: neither audette or chow have proven they can produce on a line other than that of with saku and zed, but as far as i remember they haven't played together, they're both gifted scorers, it just might work.
line 3: same checking approach, just add kilger for bulis, this adds size, which is never a bad thing.
line 4: gilmour, though he has looked slightly better in recent games in my opinion still would work best on the 4th unit, add lindsay in there and this line brings quite a lot of grit.
out: ribeiro and petrov - looked poor defensively recently, just victims of the numbers (we have too many small forwards). blouin - played last game, didn't do a whole lot, i'd rather have lindsay out there.
markov - rivet
dykhuis - brisebois
quintal - traverse
pairing 1: markov has been our best d-man lately, works well with rivet who is strong defensively.
pairing 2: although he has played awful so far this season, dykhuis is still a much better defenseman than traverse, and could just be in a slump, give him a bit more respect and icetime, he might use his speed in productive ways, and stop taking so many stupid penalties.
pairing 3: quintal brings strength, traverse brings speed. truthfully theyre both awful and unless a miracle happens q will be slow and take stupid penalties, while traverse will caugh it up and refuse to play physical.
theodore
hackett
starter: theo needs to bounce back, it's crucial, so therefore he must play atlanta first rather than boston or philly. most likely he and hack should split the back to back games this weekend.
