The Habs just passed the quarter mark of their 2002-03 season so i felt it was time (ie. i was bored) to crunch some numbers and see what kind of numbers our guys are projected to hit.
Obviously these numbers should be taken with a grain of salt, cause one 4 point game in the next week could make the world of a difference for some of these guys, but its still fun to see how the boys are doing compared to past seasons...
Saku Koivu (82-31-43-74)
Koivu is on pace for his first full season since 95-96. At this pace he should easily break his personal bests in goals (20) and points (57).
Yanic Perreault (82-43-27-70)
Another great start for Perreault. He is on pace for career bests in goals and points.
Andrei Markov (82-20-39-59)
Markov is easily on pace to set career highs in GP, G, A and PTS.
[Richard Zednik (74-39-16-55)
Zednik appears to finally be on his way to a 30 goal season. I expect Zed to set career marks in goals and points.
Patrice Brisebois (82-12-39-51)
On pace for his first ever 40+ point season. On pace for career best with 39 assists and 51 points. His 15 goals from 2000-01 will be tough to match.
Oleg Petrov (74-16-27-43)
Despite his slow start, Petrov's basically on pace to match his offensive output from the last few seasons (47 and 41 points).
Jan Bulis (82-12-23-35)
With a little luck Bulis should be able to set career highs in goals and points. His current best season is 9 goals and 31 points with the Caps (in 56 games).
Mariusz Czerkawski (66-8-27-35)
On pace for his worst season since 97-98, Chow's numbers look to be on the way down for a 3rd straight season.
Andreas Dackell (82-8-23-31)
His numbers are right around his career average. Goal totals are a little low.
Doug Gilmour (78-4-27-31)
On pace for his worst season ever, but then again the same could have been said this time last season...
Joe Juneau (82-12-16-28)
Point totals are a little low compared to the last few seasons, but not too far off.
Donald Audette (66-8-16-24)
A dreadful start has skewed Audi's numbers quite a bit. If he keeps up his recent scoring pace he could have significantly better numbers.
Randy McKay (74-8-16-24)
Numbers would actually be an improvement over last seasons 18 points, but far off his 45-50 point prime seasons.
Craig Rivet (82-8-8-16)
Eight goals would match his career high from last season, but he's a bit off last seasons 25 points.
Chad Kilger (62-0-12-12)
Obviously a brutal pace. Kilger should be in the 30 point range.
