yes sir...instead of blaming our PK, or a shaky Theodore, or saying Irbe played a good game, MT blamed the refs or as he put it ''situations out of our control''......and then he wonders why the refs keep giving him bench minors? why not just admit we flat out stunk in the 2nd and 3rd periods? why not admit Theodore was NOT ready to come back from his injury? why not admit the PK is dreadful? www.cyberpresse.ca/reseau/sports/0211/spo_102110160749.htmlAt least Quintal says the truth........

The refs clearly missed 2 goals, as Perreault's and Franics' goals that were waived should have counted, IMO. When you ref a game and miss 2 major calls like that, plus some REAL questionable calls, I'd say the refs sucked. But if we are looking to blame someone, Theodore is where I would start, the PK (Charron's job) would be next, then our defence. I mean the call on Brisebois for delay of game, cause somehow we didnt get the last change. What was that all about? It was a bad night for refs, Theodore, our PK, our defence, our team, and us fans.

He thought we played WELL in the 2nd period ...and situations out of our control cost us the game I mean come on....the refs were bad but we stunk the joint up!

If MT looked in the mirror it would crack! To me comments like that are the comments of a loser who should not be coaching.
He has alienated his players for sure and seems to have no clue on who should play where and who should play period. Is it all his fault not by a long shot As has to account for alot of what is happening.
Why get Bloiun? To me he is a waste of a pick no matter how low. In a million years he will never outplay Kilger on his worst day?. Why trade Asham for Chow if Chow just replaces him in the press box? I'd love to hear what Georgies accountant thinks of that brilliant move. HFTO

Well we were bad in the 2nd, anytime in have 5 goals scored on you in one period its bad. But maybe he's trying to protect Theodore, who has really struggled so far. I know the defence played bad, and the Canes did get some very lucky bounces and calls, but he HAS to stop letting in some many freaking goals. Something does need to happen to wake these guys up, but I don't expect any mirclaes to happen. A new coach, a trade, a new GM, etc... may turn things around for the short term, but overall its going to be a long season, and a tough fight to make the playoffs no matter what transactions take place. (Cause we aren't going to see half the team moved, so losing 1 or 2 of them still leaves lots Of problems).

You may recall that last year, after a bad game, Therrien blamed the result on the opposition 'getting up more for games againt the Habs" That's a poor excuse for any coach, but especially so for someone coaching a team which had missed the playoffs the past 3 seasons. Perhaps he's 'Protecting' a player (eg. Theo). But Theo's not an idiot...he knows if he's had a bad game and I suspect he's proud enough and confident enough to admit it and move on. If he's 'protected' under those circumstances, it's not good news. Reminds me of the child who breaks a rule at school and has their parent come to school to defend them. Much better if the parent tells the child to smarten up and follow the rules. Yeeesh, I cringe at the thought of doing that with my father when I was a kid. I'd still have the welts.

Maybe I'm hopelessly blind but i did not think we played that badly last night including the 2nd period. The Canes were very lucky we were not and yes the refs were atrocious. I'm not coming to MT's aid as i believe he is an idiot but i have no problem with him stating the obvious: the reffing was simply awful.
I also don't think this is going to be a long season as this team has too much talent. We are one maybe two trades away and one head coach firing from having a very good team. While we all wonder what is taking AS so long we should not lose sight of the fact that the team is above 500 and has some real bright spots - Markov, Saku, Zed. We know where our weaknesses are and that is the first step to making a correction.
