A Review In My Own Special Way

I’ve decided to start reviewing the Hab’s game performances in my own morbid way. After each game I’ll award my own 3 stars, the key being that they must exhibit a clear willingness to hurrying the firing of MT-head along.
In last night’s 7-3 loss the boys were really fighting to see who would make my inaugural list but that’s why I get paid the big bucks to make these tough decisions.
3rd Star
Jose Theodore
I haven’t seen a goalie this shaky since the glory days of ‘Red-Light’. I appreciate everything you’re doing to speed MT’s dismissal along but when you start going down to your knees as the opposing team crosses the blue-line people are going to start to wonder.
2nd Star
Patrick Traverse
One of your best games. A nice –2 as one of our top 4 defensemen. Keep talking to MT and maybe he can get you placed with Markov to take his game down to your level. You can’t skate, you can’t hit, you average 5 turnovers a game it seems…keep up the good work.
1st Star
Donald Audette
I always knew you were allergic to your own end but you’re talking it to a new level. I’ve never seen anyone so blatant about a lack of interest in defensive play. And better yet, our coaching staff doesn’t seem to care. EXCELLENT Work.
Honorable mention
Sylvain Blouin. You only had 4 shifts but each time out there you did your job. I’m not sure what that is but AS must have had a reason to add you to the team. It was nice that you replaced Kilger as he seemed to care. See if you can lobby for PP time.
Now a small tirade. Yanic Perreault, what in the hell are you doing out there? I’ve always liked you for what you are? A very nice 2nd line center, the best faceoff man in the league and you possess a wicked shot. People in these parts have wanted to get rid of you for a long time and I might have to join that bandwagon. You’re actually trying out there. Two goals, chances every shift, winning almost every important faceoff. Enough already. Keep this up and we may have to live with MT for the rest of the season.
That’s all for now.
