describes it... great 1st...horrible in fact HORRICIOUS 2nd and 3rd's... this Habs team can make you dream and then brings you back to the cruel reality. And do something AS damn it. We have too many bodies, people are mad, we need help on defence, DO SOMETHING before it GETS EVEN UGLIER.

POS game.
Other clubs build their team with youth and speed. We build the team with POS players that make million.
Where was McKay Savard?
Where is your defence Savard?
Where is your youth Savard?
Savard, you are building an old, overpayed team that has NO chance to compete with t he upper half of the league. Time to dump salary and bring the young ones.

In almost every game this year the fourth line is nonexistent. Why? Now, I realize in this new NHL where any kind of body contact, or supposed contact, is a penalty before the collision even happens, that it's pretty tough to get the fourth line involved. But Therrien so badly misuses his lines that they may as well not even dress. I seen McKay for one shift tonight, I think I might have seen Blouin out there once, and of course Ribiero takes Markov's spot on the PP. You'd think that after the tenth or fifteenth goal, that MT might try and stir things up by getting a little crashing, banging action going on. Nah, I'll just delay in deciding who's going out and take another bench minor.

agreed on all fronts!!
MT should have called a timeout or pulled Theodore somewhere in that 2nd just to change the momentum
Ribeiro should NOT be on the 1st PP unit. Markov-Brisebois have to be there. Always. Ribs to the 2nd unit. And MT, when you have a power play coming up after a commercial break...COME BACK WITH THE KOIVU UNIT!!!
Now on to the PK........Q and Rivet, last year, shot the puck down ice so well...now they stink at it.....every clearing attempt is blocked at the point...the box they are supposed to form is so out of whack it's ridiculous...
and what was that MT penalty for failing to get his change done quick enough? on a 5 on 3 PP??
Theodore should have never started. Hackett should have, Theo was far from 100% physically and it showed.
As for Savard, HA hit it right on the head.......48 million$$ for THIS!!!!!! what a joke!!!!!!
Damn I am pissed.

The team looks like a house of cards right now. Markov screws around with the puck at the beginning of the second period and gets a penalty that leads to a goal and another penalty and another goal.
From that point on they showed no poise at all. I couldn't believe how much time Cole had to shoot on that shorthanded chance.
Anyways, I am going to focus on the Alouettes for the rest of the weekend. It's about time a Montreal team won something.

What a crazy games,HABS played well in the first and then the house came crashing down,Was Mckay playing and Blouin?I didnt even see them.but with the way Mckay has looked this year why dress the guy?We need a change on our D!Too many guys standing around ,no contact.Petrov ,cant score cant score ,cant scores sit him out and trade him,Ribieiro-i liked some of his moves ,hes got some polish to him but his overall game is lacking he would do well with a talented Big winger on his line.Theo well you cant blame the guy ,BUT he just is not going to have the year he had last year, and maybe he never will,he was brilliant every game last year how can you expect that all the time but i think the big contract and the star status has come too quickly for him and hes not the same person and goalie that he was last year.Quintal-this guy looks weak and exhausted most of the time kind of like a boxer who is turned into a deadbeat pug!I dont know what else to say but MT just doesnt seem to have a good grasp on things and we have too many players .tooo many small players, would be interested to see Ward and Hossa come up ,just to see how there game is at this time, man we sure have problems with Carolina,i hate the look of Cole he has that sickening smile, just something about his face and mannerisms that get me.Going to have a tough schedule coming up and i dont know if this lineup is going to hack it?Thats it.im out!

Yep, and I'd hardly class Carolina as a Stanley Cup threat. Any team that has some talent and a little discipline and we lose 9 times out of 10. Wonder how long the media's patience is going to last - with both MT and Savard.

Well i missed the second and third period i went out for a bit and turned on the hamilton game it seems they we're playing Carolina and i don't remember Carolina having a franchise in the AHL well the good news was that Therrien and Green we're coaching Hamilton so who did we get to replace them on the big club and what was the final score. too many beers at this party for me.

well I'm not happy but I'm not throwing in the towel. This was not a 7-3 game. Irbe played great and the refs and the puck bounces were all in Canes favor.
The boys played a great 1st period and if not for irbe it could have been more than 2-0. I don't know what they had for lunch but they were pumped. The wheels came off in the 2nd due to penalties. The pk is killing us and clearly is the weakest part of our game. something has to happen.
The difference in this game was goaltending. Irbe should have been a star he played great. Theo was weak. While he may not have had a chance on some of the goals he was brutal on others. Cole should have never had that kind of time on his sh goal but nor should he score from that angle. Theo was brutal handling the puck all night. He kept giving it away and scrambling to get back in his net and clearly was at fault on the 2nd goal. Irbe with some help from the refs simply stoned us. i thought the turning point was the 5 on 3 when Saku had two cracks in thecrease but irbe was there.
i thought the boys played well. gilmour may have had his best game. Markov was attacking in both zones and is down right mean. i love it. Saku Zed and Aud were buzzing all night. i thought gilmours line was great as well.
Back on the def. the usual suspects stunk the joint out. traverse is just terrible. On one cane goal Brise lost his stick and as no forward was giving up theirs I was hoping that Brise would grab traverse's as trav doesn't know what to do with it.
MT was brutal. He had a team playing well and if he had control of the game he could have settled it down and let the boys get the momentum back. but that is way beyond MT's ability. He simply can not manage a game.McKay was on the pk at one point which was odd but otherwise wasn't used. kilger and lindsay not dressed?i don't understand why against the Canes you don't play or dress your big players.
I'm not happy with the score nor the way we lost but this was not a 7-3 game.

Why Theo played is WAY beyond me. Hack had a couple days rest, and Theo was probably not yet 100%. Therrien is an idiot for not having pulled him after giving up the lead. Why embarass the kid? He obviously didn't have his A game tonight, and it was even obvious to me, that his heart wasn't in the game tonight. He seemed to have his head somewhere else tonight, whether it was on his hip, or whatever, it wasn't in the game. MT is just lucky Theo didn't blow a gasket and pull a Roy on him. Hack should have at least came in for the third, but NO, Therrien had to try and kill any bit of remaining confidence Theo had, and play him the whole game. Savard: do us all a favour, and GET RID OF THERRIEN RIGHT NOW!!! The team has completely quit on him. He doesn't know when (or possibly how-I don't know)to either call a time out, or pull the goalie. He is a comlete IDIOT!!

I can't let it go why was Kilger a healthy scratch again and for Blouin? MT'smotivations most be ten times more confusing to the players than it is to us outsiders. I'd love to know what they really think of this situation. HFTO

HFTO And what do all those losses have in common except one? Thats right Jose Theodore, thats 25 goals against in 4 games. Funny how we only get blown out once with Hackett, but with Theo its already 4 times so far. For tonights game. Theodore sucked. Refs sucked. Defence sucked. PK sucked. And what happened to Gilmor saying all last year, that he would retire if it wasn't fun anymore? What's up Dougie, you can't be having fun now? I just pissed off, as we lost, got blown out, Eric Cole who I freakin hate got 4 pts, and the Bulldogs go put out to pasture. Damn, I musta pissed in someone's wheaties. I would like to see Dykhuis leave town and never come back. Gilmor retire. Chow take up acting or be traded. Petrov, traded or new line of work for him too. Quintal retire. Traverse go home. Theodore give back our 5.3M (I think he paid some scientist to make a clone of him so he could be out partying while his clone looka like gets shelled in net). Audette give us back our 3M, and in fact you owe us 3M for watching you do nothing this year. I kidding around, cause that was really painful to watch, and I hope I don't see anymore games like that.

Apparently... the Habs told Theodore on Friday...''it's your call...'' even Theodore said on Friday ''I doubt I will start, why rush it, we have a great goalie like Jeff around, etc''
So to see him start last night was surprising and also not suprising because Theodore is a fierce competititor and he wants to play. The Habs should have known this before telling him it's your call....I'd bet Theodore was probably not even at 80% last night.

How many blowouts did we have last year? forget the games when Garon was in on that western road trip...I remember one game in Nashville when we were playing our 2nd game in 2 nights but aside from that?? a blowout...where you lose by 4-5 goals? We are averaging one blowout per week...and if Hack wasn't there against Ottawa and Detroit it could be even worse and most importantly...when was the LAST time we pasted somebody like that? anyone noticed everytime we get blown out how the BIG SKILLED guys on the other team's have fun? Leclair,Primeau, Handzus, Pyatt, Gratton, FREAKIN ERIC COLE, Bataglia, O'Neil, Jamie Langenbrunner, etc?

the reason for the big blow outs is that Mt does not have a system except to rely on the goalie. last year it worked because theo was great. this year it doesn't work unless Hack and theo can stand on their heads. when they do that we are in the game and often win. if the goalies are not our best player, and theo has been anything but, we get smoked. Good goaltending can mask a bad system but when it's even mediocre the flaws in the system become glaring.

I have to disagree. He has a perfect system in place: Play smaller player's against bigger teams and play bigger player's against smaller teams. I guess he figures the smaller player's will get pushed around and draw more penalties. This is the only thing I can think of unless of course MT's got a dart board or a hat with 6or7 numbers in it in his office. There is no way Theo was 100% last night and should not have been in there and everyone knows it. McCreary's partner last night was a complete idiot and should be refing AAA pewee but MT's got to learn to shut the hell up, it's your JOB to calm down the troops after a bad call not the other way around.
Now I'm all for firing banana boy but again who replaces him?
