okay i figure this is an easy one as three people are gonna get a zero vote maybe 4 narrowing it down to two. Try and be honest and don't vote for the hero of tonight's O/T without thinking this over.

Had to go with Brisebois over Markov. While Markov has the advantage of playing with Rivet, Brisebois has the task of playing with a less than stellar Dykhuis this year. Beats the heck out of me what's wrong with Karl this year. I hope he can shake it off and show us the form he did the past two years as our +/- leader. Cheers.

I agree, as I voted for Brezzy as well for those reasons. I think thats why we saw Markov/Rivet playing against Cry baby, erh I mean Super Mario tonight. But what the hell is wrong with Dykhius. I say he's playing even worse then Quintal. It seems they rotate, one night Dykhuis sucks, the next Quintal, and every night they aren't very good. If we get an average night out of either one, its a plus. Traverse isn't too far ahead of these guys either. It just doesn't make sense. Dykhuis as you say was our +/- leader 2 years in a row, and now he looks really bad out there. If there was room, I would bench him for a night off. Quintal, last year was really good in the playoffs and at the end of the season, but the only thing I can think of is alien abduction, cause this years Quintal looks lost and slow out there. Traverse is another mystery. Last year he really sucked, and this year is has been the best I have seen him play, ever. But thats not saying much, as he just isnt that skilled. But the sad thing is, I prefer Traverse to Dykhuis right now. Traverse doesn't take the stupid penalties that Dykhuis has been, plus he adds a little more in the area of offence, as he can pass the puck, rather then just throw it off the glass/boards. Well maybe Souray's return will help, thats what only 4-6 weeks away? Hopefully.

For now it still has to be Brisebois.
Like I said, for now.
BTW: when making a poll is it that hard to spell the names out all the way ? Especially since it has to cause some confusion, someone actually voted for Quintal...

Had to go with Markov. The way i look at it is if i was told that one of our dmen was hurt and not going to play in the game, if you asked me which one would i least hope that to be i would say Markov. i give Bris points for experience but Markov plays with ingenuity and rarely puts in a bad game. Can't say that about Brise. Having said that i think brise is having a good season at both ends just not as good as Markov.

Well you never know, maybe they were drunk? ;D Now a poll for the Habs worst defencemen Quintal Dykhuis Traverse Rick Green Ok kidding about Green, but my vote is Dykhuis, as its sad when he gets outplayed by Traverse.

I went with Breezer. Experience being the only reason. I think Markov will be better than Breezer when he refines his english and gets around the block a little more. Breezer's playing well especially considering he's got Dorkhuis as his partner(did you see that pass Dorker made almost got Breezer killed). Hey wait a minute I got an idea bring Hainsey up and put him with Breezer, I mean with the rookie mistakes the terrible trio(you know the 3) are making I'm sure it would look better if an actual rookie was making them right? I just can't wait for Souray to come back so they can get one of these stiff's off the ice.

souray is the #1 man when he's in the line up, so far this year markov's been the strongest, both upfront, and defensively, he's played so good. brisebois is still the #1 man, but should he be? i'm not sure, he's played strong lately, but other games he's right out to lunch.

Briser is the official number 1, Markov is the REAL number 1. He gets my vote.

Brisebois is playing like a Norris candidate this year. You notice him on the ice all the time and for once it's not for the wrong reasons. For him to play aswell as he has while playing with the "This can't be me" Dykhuis it's simply amazing!
Go Breezer go!

I would also have to vote for Breezer with a strong chance Markov may be there by the end of the season.
To think that it was not very long ago he decided he didn't want to be on the media guide since he thought he was about to be shipped out of town.
And a lot of people, here and media, would have traded him for a bag of pucks.
Not me ofcourse...I was holding out for that 8th round pick. ;D

Breezy? I seem to remember last season most of you wanted Breezy gone. Why the sudden turnaround? I've watched Breezy the last couple of seasons and I feltl the same then as now. I like Breezy.

I never wanted him gone the critisicm breezer has recieved has been linked to expectation's he could never meet. The defence was horrid and his role was something outside of the realm of his skills. He's a great third or 4th dman on a quality blueline and a very mediocre first defenseman on a crappy blueline. Although this year seems to be something unheard of for breeezer he's putting together a great year that's for sure maybe the surge by Markov has awakened his senses and caused him to realize he better pick it up or he'll be expendable. From what i gather he loves it here and might see Markov (and rightfully so) as a threat to his number one role. This is how competion is supposed to work and let's hope it start's to hold even more true when Souray return's.

I'm glad to hear you say that. The Habs will be playing the Sharks in San Jose again this season on March 6 @7:30pm PDT, and I'm looking foward to that game. Usually if the Sharks play in Montreal the Habs don't play in SJ that season. 2 years ago the Habs were here and last season the Sharks were there. This season the Sharks are there and the Habs here.

I like Breezy. 2 years ago he was a great offensive d-man who was TERRIBLE in his own end. Just brutal. Last year, the transformation started. He became a much better defensive d-man while still showing decent offence. So far this year, he has been great on both sides. Offensively and defensively. It looks like he may be worth 4 million per year after-all. Brisebois has always had loads of talent, he just couldn't use it on a regular basis. Now he can

Now he can Marc, even though the transformation started last season, many Habs fans still wanted him gone. If you didn't, that is good , but not all Habs fans shared that opinion last season. I hope he continues to improve because even though I didn't want him in SJ I did like him.

No doubt about this one. Markov, far and away, is the best defenceman we have. Brisebois has actually had a pretty decent year. But, having said that, for the last ten years I can't think of another player that has been as atrocious as this guy, night in and night out. I always thought accountability should work both ways, whether they are a rookie or a vet, but it has never been the case with Patrice.
