NO doubt about, the Habs came to play tonight and at home for that matter but a total effort showing some great D from the forwards and defenceman alike, some offensive threat and steady goaltending. Penalty killing was also a lot better tonight. Things didn't look promising before the game. Petrov named as a healthy scratch and Zednick out of the lineup. Yet, Therrien got this team up for tonight.
And what's with the Petrov situation? Being benched and now I hear he's demanded a trade, gone awol? If that's the case that he had a temper tantrum then there's definitely something wrong in the dressing room.
Better be sorted out now while the Habs sill have their heads above water.

He didn't ask for a trade. That was only speculation. Meehan denied the trade request rumor.

Why is it that most posters think that Petrov is so valuable,i know hes a hard worker but for all that energy he expends,he doesnt get a whole lot of production .i say HABs will not get any worse if Pertov was sent packing!SEND Petrov out ,when did he become such a star and have a temper tantrum,Therien is going to have to paddle the little bugger!I think Andre should send him to his room and then to another city, hes too small thats ALL!

Chow/Petrov/Audette...doesn't really matter which one goes or stays. All 3 have big flaws and some qualities. But one of them must go.

Petrov got scratched and didn't bother to show up for the pre-game skate. If he had, he may have been re-inserted as Zednik was down with the flu.
On The Habs This Week, Demers said there are 4 different cliques within the dressing room. Those that think Hackett should start, those that think Theo should start. He didn't expand on the last two but I would hope they would be those that want to get rid of the coach, and those that want to get rid of the coach right freaking now. Also guys complaining about ice time, nobody seems to know their role, save the third line. It sounds like a bloody mess and it won't get better under this head coach. Players need clearly defined roles within a team structure, and if they don't have it, they run around pell-mell and get outshot 2-1 every night. Ch Ch Changes.

Are Demers's sources telling him that or only his opinion?

What the hell, is Demers becoming the Al Strachan of the Hab's? If the four cliques are true then Savard better step in and smack a few of the howling monkeys. EVERYBODY plays for the team or else they warm up the pine in Utah or Murmansk. Good grief, if Gilmour went to Savard to ask for more time on the ice I would hope that Savard ask for his retirement. Savard: "So Dougie, you want me to ask the coach to play you more? After all that you have contributed so far? Hmm...I hear Utah is great this time of year, do you know where Utah is Dougie? Do you? So what's your next question?"

remember Demers is the one who talked about the Audette on the trade market story(which was accurate) and he predicted the day Theodore would sign so his sources are very good.
