Arggh...how are they doing it? I mean Grahame and Shields have stats that would make Patrick Roy jealous, they don't have Samsonov, Lapointe and McLaren. Not too mention Guerin. I'll give them credit on one pickup, Bryan Berard has been great for them(scored again today). But the rest of their D is still slow. How are they doing it?

I really don't know, but everytime the Oilers lose, I groan. Yeah I do like them. I've said that here before. Every time they play the Stars in the Playoffs I'm rooting for them to kick Stars butt. I'm hoping some year soon they will. I don't like Boston but it's just because they are a rival. Quite a bit of the time I root against the Bruins, but if I had to choose between the Bruins, Devils, Rangers or Pens to win I would root Bruins (but not against the Leafs or Habs in the East).

No Guerin no Dafoe no McClaren those chepos in Boston continue to amaze. They miss the playoffs what once and get Thorton out of it!Just when you count on them to suck they stick it right back at everyone. HFTO

FYI
Boston is winning because Robbie Ftorek has them playing an aggressive, attacking style, and they are fun to watch, as much as I hate to admit it. Losing Guerin only points to the success of the "system" that Ftorek has installed. They still have a pretty solid core of forwards (Thornton, Samsonov, Murray, Rolston, Stumpel, Lapointe) and I never noticed before how fast Bryan Berard is. The B's are in a great position right now as they are winning without McLaren and can get something good in a trade.
Goaltending will be an issue come playoff time, however.

How shocking...a team doing well because of their ''system''! yet we here in Montreal stand pat, with no idea what the hell ours is... Ftorek is a very good coach IMO. He's showing it again. Many coaches, without Samsonov and Lapointe would play the trap and try to win games 2-1. Not Ftorek, same system, tries to blow out opponents and it's working..

Probably because they have a good puck possesion game.
If you have it, how can the other team score or shoot it?
