Uh no freakin way The guy is another softie who came here for the money For the money? Like all NHL players aren't in it for the money... I've never watched him play...my guess is that he can't be any softer than Perrault.

Dopita has been a great player in the Czech Republic for years Plenty of teams drafted or traded for his rights(Boston, Florida, I think the Islanders, etc). But he never wanted to come over. As the years went by, he got older and then Bobby Clarke picks up his rights. He asks Checmanek(a good friend of Dopita) to convince him to come over here. Dopita says yes, Clarke gives him more money than Dopita ever could imagine making in the Czech league. Dopita had a mediocre year last year, Flyers blow up in the first round, Clarke deals Dopita to Edmonton where many people(including me) thought he would flourish. Bigger role, less pressure, in a city that ressembles a Euro city,etc...but he has been a bust. He's Robert Reichel basically. If not worse

Regarded very highly by the Flyers even with all the protection he had there he couldn't produce. And considering the start the Oilers have had if they thought there was anyway he could come around he'd still be there.A classic waste of talent the red flag couldn't be any bigger. He's the last thing we need. Dopita is horrible, right up there with Reichel and Hoglund as worst players in the NHL.
Yes they're more skilled than others, but do nothing at all with their skill which makes them worse than any 4th liner in the league busting his butt every shift.
I would seriously disown this team if they picked up Dopita...I'd become a Wild and Blue Jackets fan instead.

Dopita's a true softie who will probably go back to Europe at the end of this season. We have enough players like him as it is. If Savard picks him up I'm going to jump on the "Fire Savard" bandwagon (if it exists).
