Good news. The Docs have told him he doesn't need surgery, but that doesn't mean the wrist will get any better anytime soon.

Good news. The Docs have told him he doesn't need surgery, but that doesn't mean the wrist will get any better anytime soon. That is good news. I don't like the ideal of Quintal taking over Rivet's spot and Traverse taking over Quintal's spot for long peroid of time.

Il s'est rendu à Baltimore mercredi pour consulter un spécialiste concernant une blessure au poignet qu'il doit endurer depuis une bagarre avec André Roy, des Sénateurs d'Ottawa, au camp d'entraînement l'an dernier. De nouveaux examens ont confirmé que la situation ne s'est pas détériorée et qu'une nouvelle opération n'est pas nécessaire. Le risque que Rivet prend en jouant n'est pas de perdre de la force mais de ne pas en gagner aussi rapidement que souhaité. *breathes huge sigh of relief* Losing Rivet would have been a double blow because Markov would have probably not been the same without him.

So I take it he won't be scrapping or going out of his way to hit either right?
I sure hope Souray comes back with the balls he found in the playoffs last year.
I remember him saying that some players (mainly Thornton) were taking advantage of him in the playoffs because they knew he was injured, and he said he wouldn't forget that when he gets back this year.
Let's hope he has that burr under his saddle, because I doubt Rivet will be able to play too physically until he has the wrist corrected.

If he goes after anyone, he might not play for another year or so. But he isn't do back till January I think.
