Who do you want for your 4th line center? We got Kilger, Lindsay, Ribeiro (soon), longshots Gratton, Landry, Plekanec.
Kilger, to me is a better LW, so I wouldn't put him at Center.
Lindsay, has picked his game up, but we got Kilger, Blouin, Lindsay, McKay who can all bump and grind. Plue we need to make room on the roster, so I would try and trade Lindsay to Nashville for a 7th rounder, if possible.
Ribeiro, is my pick. Yes he's slow, soft, and way to easy to knock off the puck, but he has great vision, and is a decent puck handler. Last I heard, was that he would be back in a week, so I would think he gets the center position. I am interested to see what he can do, although many don't seem to like him, and I understand why, but I think Ribs can get it done.
Gratton, the captain of the Bulldogs, does work hard, and is scrappy, but I'm not that high on him. He took a lot of bad penalties in the playoffs last year, so I guess I'm stilled pissed off about that. But he does work hard, and can grind it out, along with adding a scoring punch, a longshot at best, but could be used as a shot in the arm for a 2-3 game strech.
Landry, who is playing well in Utah (3rd on the team in scoring, I posted Utah's Hab prospect stats over on the prospects board). Last year he lead the Citadelles in scoring with 75pts, and did a good job well called up. Another scrappy player, that brings energy, and some grit along with more of a scoring punch then Gratton. If I were to chose between Gratton/Landry, I would go with Landry, for the "shot in the arm" theory to spark some energy into the lineup. Kilger/Blouin Landry McKay for a few games to get em going, but again just longshots and not the solutions.
Plekanec, I just threw him in, but to me, I would leave him in Hamilton for a few years.
Any other ideals? thoughts?
