Personally i would trade Riberio packaged with Audette and Dackell. I think Riberio has talent but he has to play with some larger skilled players. Audette is becoming a cancer, and is having the same problems as in Buffalo and Dallas. Dackell is a solid player but i feel his role on the team could easily be replaced and enhanced by using Kilger. Thus solving the problem with Kilger's icetime.

I'd trade Audette for Lecavalier, Hackett for Luongo, Dackell for Marian Hossa, Ribeiro for Kovalchuk....
Oh, wait, it doesn't work that way. When you want to deal players, you have to find a team willing to give back something you want, and willing to take on contracts.
Of the guys in the list, Dackell, Audette, Czerkawski and Petrov have little value, Perreault has a no-trade clause, and Kilger and Ribeiro have marginal value, too.
In every case, it's really a case of who you can get rid of and who's contract you can dump, or of what you can get.
The only guy there I'd dump regardless would be Audette... but I wouldn't call that "trading".

My vote is for Petrov but that's where the problem lies all the players we have are all basically the same type players.A package of some sort is going to have to be put together there is no doubt about it. HFTO

What if all the trade speculation really turns into jack squat. With this situation we are in regarding the abundance of similar type player's and the need for those type of player's around the league being relatively small. We have a good bulk of core guy's for the future and the only way to really improve on that is by sacrificing something of substance.
we could put all our dead weight together and still not get diddly in return is all i'm getting at here.
Audette, big salary minimal production, history of clashing with mngmnt, coming of an injury, and is very small.
Ribiero, still unproven, very small, questionable skating, coming off an injury, and may never be more than a 4th line center.
Hacket, well let's just say we deserve way more for this guy than we most likely will ever ever get.
I've got this feeling that there's gonna be nothing as far as package deals come unless a zednik, rivet, brisebois, or possibly a young prospect is thrown into the mix and personally i don't wanna sacrifice youth for improvement's right now. That type of move is better suited for finalizing the puzzle pieces as opposed to pushing a team into the next level. We don't have the asset's to get to contention Via the trade route IMO and to make a big 3 for one deal seem's unlikely.
here's a better question. Who do you sacrifice if a multi player deal comes along
ZEDNIK KOIVU BRISEBOIS SOURAY KOMI HAINSEY MARKOV
Those are the guy's other teams are going to want as building block's if we are going to get something worthwhile in return in a package. Otherwise we can't expect anything more than draft picks or marginal talent's which we already have to many of as it is.
I hate nothing more than mediocrity and patience but given the circumstances someone better hog tie me. If i'm forced to wait a severe length of time for this organization to develop it's youth i may spontaniously combust.

Zednik, Koivu, Markov, Hainsey and Komi you would have to offer me a Thornton of this world. Theo is untouchable obviously. Breezy stays with the no trade clause.
