We are facing a red hot veteran team that has been winning without the best D in the world, a great power forward and their number 1 goalie. They have been demolishing opponents and they have a great coach in Quennevile.
It's going to be A HUGE test for our team. We need to start winning at home and the Blues are on a road trip. That favors us. Hopefully their goaltending stops being so awesome and we can pot a few in there.
I'd go with Theodore. Need to get him another start after Friday's game.

GO HABS GO. This is a big test I agree, we need to get a big win here and have a ton of confidence against a weak New York Islander team.

I agree...i would go with Theo against the Blues on Tuesday and Hack on Thursday against the Islanders. Assuming Theo playes well on Tuesday, go with him on Saturday against the Kings. I'm watching the Blues/Rangers game right now...honestly the Blues haven't impressed me too much in this game. It's 2-2 and the Blues have only had something like 10 shots thru 2 periods. We can take these guys!

Blues played last night in Long Island and Rangers played last night in Boston. So I wouldn't put that much stock in how they are playing tonight...they are gonna be tough on us Thursday Hack against the Isle...hmm will Mad Mike be in MTL?

Les good guys are facing a team that has been hit by no less than seven injuries. But the Blues just keep on rolling along at 8-1-1.
I don't think it will matter who starts in goal against the Blues as they will be facing a very prepared team nonetheless. On that note, the Habs have their work cut out for them but it isn't an insurmountable feat competing with the battered Blues if you will.
If they played the same team defence they did against Toronto, they should fair well. Heck, they've already secured three of four points on their present road trip as it is and that has to be a positive.
My gut feeling; I think les good guys will be competative against les Blues. Just the way I feel I guess. Cheers.

The Blues top 2 lines: Rucinsky-Demitra-Mellanby Boguienicki-Weight-Stillman Cajanek must fit in somewhere with guys like Drake, Podein, Low, Mayers, Eastwood, etc And they are winning with that Their defence: Jackman-MacInnis Salvador-Van Ryn Khavanov-Koistivo and the patch work goalies...wow...

Yup! Kind of impressive what a real coach(es) can do for you. Keep Hackett, put MT on waivers.

Yup! Kind of impressive what a real coach(es) can do for you. Keep Hackett, put MT on waivers. That's the point I've been making for two years, since he of the yellow jacket league took over the reins. A good coach can win even without a lot of talent. Now 8 wins in a row has to have some luck involved with it, considering that line-up. But it's truly amazing how far you can go with discipline, speed and work effort. Korea in the 2002 World Cup is an example. Nothing but effort, defense, and a couple of blind linesmen and "Poof", semi-finals.
