and Langdon Is Brian Burke insane? I know Druken looks like a bust...but still Malik is nothing more than a number 4 or 5 d-man and Langdon a goon!

Maybe Hlavac is a player in the Czerkawski and Audette mold - a guy with talent who can score, but who just doesn't have heart and who causes trouble in the room through selfishness. Just look at how many times he's been traded already.
AS will grab him and Reichel ASAP.

Druken is gifted offensively, but has poor discipline in his own end. He turned down a 'voluntary' demotion to Manitoba this week. Burke doesn't like that sort of attitude. Don't blame him. Hlavac had a good year in New York on a Czech line with Nedved and Dvorak, but hasn't matched that in Philly or Vancouver. Nice hands, but something was missing. Don't think he's a troublemaker. The Vancouver press sees Malik as a 4th d, very defensively responsible, no offense to speak of. Langdon has good character and the Nucks need some tougness. Probably a fair deal for both teams. More upside for Carolina, but more risk too.
