I don't know if anyone noticed this during last night's telecast on RDS. I don't recall exactly when it occurred, but Houde and Pednault listed off approximately 10 teams scouts that were at the "Phone Booth" (Bell Centre... for those that don't know.) taking in the game. This seems to me to be an unusually high number watching a game. Or am I way off base? Could something be up soon?

I certainly smell something cooking. Perhaps even as soon as this weekend.

Here's hoping for a d-man. Open up our cluster of small fwds and useless d-men.

I would think there'd be a lot of scouts at any NHL game.

If the scouts were hoping to see Chouinard and Ward they were disappointed (or not!)

How many of those scouts would be looking at tradeable players and how many would be advance scouts for upcoming games? It's hard to believe there would be 10 teams interested in Hackett no matter how well he's playing. Are they looking at the Habs in general in hopes a panic shakeup is imminent? Who knows? Audette could be on the block as originally rumoured. Here's a thought and this is purely speculaitive on my part....would LA be interested in Gilmour in light of the Allison injury? I'd take Laperriere even up in a heartbeat.

It's not like the Hab's to go this long without trading their captain?
