They say you build from the net out is this a puzzle piece that's next before we go big up front

Forget about it. The price will be so steep it would set us back.
They'll sign him.

Who wouldn't love Stuart on their roster, but what does SJ need, taken a look at their roster lately? Then again, is they want breakwood...they can have him...if he waives his clause.

Even if they still had Suter they wouldn't trade Brad. They seriously want the Cup and they need Brad for the run for the Cup.

If they need him so badly then they should get off their butts and sign him. There are limitations that they shouldn't go over. At first they said they were close to what Stuart wanted and a long way off from what Nabby wanted. Then they signed Nabby and changed what they said, that they were far apart from what Stuart wanted. They have contradicted themselves with Brad. They will come to terms though. They know they need Brad. www.sjsharks.com/sharks/news/20021029-1035941944.htmStuart Talks Continuing Negotiations continue on. Proposals have been exchanged as recently as Monday. But there is no news to report on the contract talks involving Brad Stuart. The only sure thing is that the Sharks want Stuart back in uniform as soon as possible. "We are not looking at any other options because we want to sign Stuey," said Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Dean Lombardi. Stuart is coming off his entry-level contract and did not have arbitration rights this past summer. That would put him in the same position of recent Sharks restricted free agents Patrick Marleau, Marco Sturm and Scott Hannan. In the case of Marleau and Hannan, each took the qualifying offer on the table. In the case of Sturm, his contract was a little more rewarding as he provided the Sharks the opportunity to add years to his deal. Stuart's qualifying offer was the highest the Sharks had ever offered.
