Well, read the article.
A GM is stuck with veterans on major contracts who aren't performing, yet the coach has little choice but to play them.
Don't tell me it doesn't sound familiar.

only difference is we have a better farm system and more ''core'' guys(Koivu, Zednik, Theodore, Rivet, Bulis, etc) who are 24-25-26-27.
TO has McCauley who is no sure thing, Tucker who is more of a 2nd liner, Antropov who has alot to do before becoming a great and that is it up front.
TO will be in major trouble in the next few seasons up front and in goal. Their defence is young...but the rest...yikes
And if you think we are old...they have 14 players 30+!

I was thinking exactly the same thing after Saturday game. The same things I slammed the Habs for the Toronto papers were bringing up on behalf of the Leafs. We may have better core players that are younger but we don't have the explosiveness of a Sundin and a Mogilny,if we could add that we'd be contending. HFTO

Honestly, Marc, if you were Toronto would you do it? Cheers. I dunno. I hope for them they realise they have one scoring winger(Mogilny) and that's it. Would they want Audette? I am just speculating here...

The Vancouver fans were not disappointed when Quinn left the Canucks. He has a history of staying with a team long enough to have his coaching make a difference and leaving before his general managing skills become evident. He has definitely put himself in the same situation as Savard, though. Except Savard may be able to improve the coaching and our goaltending will get better as long as Hack plays (until and if Theo sorts himself out). Quinn probably can't.
