Ok ok, I know it's still October, but I'm sick of the performance of this "team" thus far. This is a team in dire need of a move to shake things up. Pick one of : Fire the "coach"..... a significant trade..... something! Anything!! Something's not right in Habland and time's a wastin'.

My thoughts on what's plaguing the Habs this season:
1) Theo's shaky goaltending is first and foremost the most pressing concern. The entire team has become used to playing in front of a miracle worker last season, and now they're forced to actually play defence. No hot goalie=no confidence in the entire team. 2) Doug Gilmour. Man has this guy aged! I hope he finds his groove or he should just retire with dignity. 3) Randy McKay. See above, also slows down the top line and screws up the nice passing plays of Zednik Koivu and Markov. Has he even thrown a check yet?? 4) Donald Audette. I don't care what anyone says, he's playing badly on purpose. At least he can still carry the puck well. 5)Petrov not on 1st line. WHY?? 6)Poor coaching choices...let's give MT the axe and see what someone else can do.
The few positives have been Hack, Koivu, Zednik, Markov, Hainsey, Rivet, Brisebois(maybe), Kilger and the Bulis line.

5)Petrov not on 1st line. WHY?? because he is playing like a shadow of himself!

Petrov is killing himself he's working so hard. If this is going to be a meritocracy then he should be up there creating havoc with Zed and Koivu. Failing that, as I say in another post, he should be on a line with 2 other guys who can be counted on to bleed sweat on every shift: Lindsay and Kilger. All our guys with "finish" aren't finishing (partly because of our weak play at center) so we may as well go with guts to the extent we can with the current roster.

I'm sorry but a line of Zednik/Koivu/Petrov wouldn't work for more than 3 games. Why? Cause Koivu and Petrov would be down with injuries. Actually, they might get passed 3 games maybe untill we play a big team like Phily or Boston.

I just don't buy that. How is Randy Mckay responsible for Koivu playing 7 games without an injury? If Koivu's going to get hurt it'll be (as it always is) a result of him turning so quick he does a knee, or missing a check and doing his shoulder. If everybody else played the way he too often does (with great enthusiasm and a bit of reckless abandon) they'd get hurt too.
As for Petrov, he's tough as nails. And he's not cursed with Koivu's bad luck....

that's true JV he's been our most Durable Forward the past 2 year's if only saku could stay as healthy we'd be a much better organization.

Agree on getting Petrov decent linemates. Either we set up the lines to try and get something going, but if we got by merit then Petrov needs decent linemates.

so Zednik-Koivu-Audette or Zednik-Koivu-Czerkawski Which one would be the best line.

Ask Saku. Bulis and Dackell are off-limits. That's probably the best way to do it. I am sure he would say Audette based on the post-season success.
