Wouldn't mind having a player like this on our 3rd and 4th lines for the next few years.
A checker who can chip in with offence and kill penalties.
Can never have enough of those.
His play with Juneau and Dackell is just incredible...

I'll agree with you on one point...he can play the same game for us that Niklas Sundstrom plays for the Sharks.
However, he needs to show that he can keep his head in the game over an entire season for me to pencil him into the line-up for a few years to come.

well said Ryan but he is more than a third liner when he's on his game IMO he has some speed and good hands. His defensive conciense has been much better out there playing with dacks and Juneau and he has been using his body alot more thus far. If he continue's to use his size and speed he would compliment saku and Zed really nicely i think
It would be a nice experiment on the PP IMO put Zed on the right side saku at center and Jan on the left it gives ya 2 center's incase one get's thrown and both zed and Bulis are big enough that if they we're to battle in the corner's more the cycle down low would be great.
I'm just pulling strings here bash me if you want to.

When the deal was made with Bulis and Zeddy I thought Bulis would be the better of the two.
Right now it's Zed, but that's not to say Bulis still won't find his game. Right now it looks like Bulis may fit in better on a third line for reasons beyond his skill. Definitely his size and skills scream for a scoring line, but maybe he puts too much pressure on himself on a scoring line.
With Juneau and Dacks he seems really comfortable possibly because he's forced to focus on his defensive coverage. I think it would be great to see 15-20 goals with really solid defensive work. But being he's so young, he can't really be counted out yet for duty on a top line.

Keep Bulis where he is now. It's the only spot where he has done something since coming here

Keep Bulis where he is now. It's the only spot where he has done something since coming here OK, and yet you're in love with the guy ? Make up your mind marc. If he can only get the job done with certain players, it's those players who are special, not him. Until he shows he can perform with someone else, I don't trust the guy.

But for the future, we need strong 2 way players like him.

Until he shows he can perform with someone else, I don't trust the guy. You're right, the key guy here is Juneau. Dackell is the perfect example of how JJ can carry the carreer of other players... Dack without JJ ends up like the kind of guy you gladly ship away for an 8th round pick... Maybe, just maybe, Bulis can gain confidence by playing with Juneau and eventually be able to fly on his own. In any case, playing with Juneau certainly does wonder for his trade value...

It also has a lot to do with chemistry, that line has to be the only one that MT won't switch around. When one of them is hurt or out the line up Dackell was playing with Koivu...when has Dackell ever played with Koivu? No wonder they didn't know where each other were on the ice. This line has been together long enough last year that they know where they are going to be and are able to get the puck to each other. I'm sure if Bulis played half a year with Koivu they would work well together eventually but right now its Juneau and Dackell he is working with so I say they stay together. BTW great job of Dackell throwing his body in fron of that shot last night in the dying seconds, it was just bad luck it went to lemieux but its nice to see a guy tyring to block that shot, the Habs don't have enough good shot blockers at forward.

I wouldn't screw around. I would throw Bulis up there with Koivu and Zed (Zed back to the right side). Bulis has shown the willingness and ability to do the dirty work that produces scoring chances other than on the break. Mackay's too sluggish and besides, Bulis has a better shot by far. Mackay can't "protect" Koivu anyway.
So, that gives you Bulis/Koivu/Zednick on the first line. That frees up Mackay to play a role he's better suited to. The second line then becomes Kilger/Gilmour/Czerk. Again, a little muscle and a little skill.
The third is a Petrov/Perreault/Audette, soft as a baby's bottom, but pure offence. They're not going to win many battles for the puck but when they do they'll eventually start to produce.
The fourth is the checking line. Juneau centers Dackell and Lindsay.

JV one problem with that lineup.
A team lacking effective LW's is putting one on the right side.
One of our problems is we have Chow on the left side right now where he is not comfortable.
Zednik has to stay there for now.

Jan Bulis does not think any more of leaving Montreal. Since it was joined together in Joé Juneau and Andreas Dackell in a defensive trio, Bulis saw its responsibilities and its time ice to increase to a significant degree. Against Penguins de Pittsburgh Tuesday, Bulis marked a goal and obtained a master key in 16 minutes and 26 seconds of play. I think Bulis will be a 2nd line player in the near future. My question is will he be consistent in his his effort on a nightly basis. If he put for the effort he showed last night the sky is the limit for this guy.
